Meeting a Fellow Invetor

15:47 GyroTech saddles up beside the new mare and give her a charming grin.

15:48 Dusk smiles

15:50 GyroTech 's tail twitches and 'accidentally' brushes up against her. "Im GyroTech" he says gingery sticking out a hoof.

15:55 Dusk eeps and blushes "Hello there, my name is Dusk Arcania. May I call you Gyro?"

15:59 GyroTech lets his charming smile grow and gives a nod. "All my friends do. Are ya new to town? I would remember such a cute face if you weren't."

16:01 Dusk nods "Yes I am new here, I'm here staying with a friend while we complete a few tasks related to my job"

02:31 GyroTech lights up excitedly, "Oh! Have you seen much of the town then? What type of work do you do?" Hes nearly bouncing with excitement. He wiggles his stuck out hoof, hoping that she won't continue to leave him hanging.

02:33 Dusk smiles and looks around, much like a tourist would "No actaully I haven't. I do work as an articifer. Working with Magical artifacts that allow non-unicorns to focus their innate magic."

02:39 GyroTech bites his lip seeming a little bit nervous about his work. "Non-unicorn magic? I thought blood magic was pretty much banned in equestria?" The unicorn asks curiously, letting his ears flop down as he considers her work.

02:42 < Dusk> It's not blood magic as you're referring to it. Everyone posseses an innate ability to do something. Such as my own ability. You're cutie mark.

02:49 < Dusk> "Take my ability for example. I have the ability to become a part of the shadows. I'm a pegasus though" She pokes at her forehead to show her lack of horn.

02:50 GyroTech 's stomach gives a twinge of hunger pains, and gives her a knowing smile. "Oh, that sounds quite intersting. I deal in helping the nonmagical races do things as well, being a bit of an inventor. Perhaps we can discuss it over lunch?" he offers, discreetly slipping a hoof over her shoulder.

02:55 GyroTech keeps his hoof around her as he begins to lead the mare to one of his favorite restraunts. "I hope you like Istallion food. I know just a great little place for lunch"

02:59 Dusk follows along "Hm never had it before, what all do they serve here that might be to my tastes?"

03:07 GyroTech leads Dusk over to a little diner with lots of tables and chairs set up outside. As they made their way through town, Gryo's tail brushed up gingerly upon Dusks flank. "Never had Istallion food have you? Where do you come from that you heard of it? Well anyways it consists of lots of different types of noodle dishes and different sauces. Its quite tasty."

03:11 Dusk giggles "I'm from Canterlot, and I have indeed heard of it. I just never tried it. Also never really had anyone wanted to take me out to one."

03:18 GyroTech finds a table and pulls out a chair for Dusk before taking a seat from accross from her. He slides her over the menu beofre continuing. "Oh Canterlot huh? I'm from there as well, moved here just last year to pursue my dreams of setting up a workshop."

03:23 Dusk sits down and smiles at the polite stallion "Ah I see. Canterlot can get a bit dull. The never changing, but always changing atmosphere of pomp and circumstance was stifling"

03:28 GyroTech gives her a knowing nod. "Ya...I was finding the atmosphere a bit stuffy and stiffling of my creativity." He frowned, slightly, hoping that the topic would steer to a differnt way.

03:29 Dusk watches his facial expressions closely "What do you normally get to eat?"

03:36 GyroTech lets his face relax slightly. "Well, almost anything on the menu is pretty good here. I'm a big fan of the garlic and alfredo noodles myself. They have a pretty good selection of wines here as well," he ads.

03:40 Dusk smiles as she watches him relax a bit "Good to hear. I think I'll get the Tagliatelle noodles with a garlic and tomato sauce. Maybe add some basil in for good measure."

03:43 GyroTech flags down one of the waitresses and places his order and she also takes Dusks order as well. Turning back to Dusk, Gyro asks, "Tell me more about these artifacts. Why not use them just to amplify a unicorns power? Wouldn't that yeild more powerful abilities than that of nonmagical ponies?"

03:48 < Dusk> "Yes, but that's not my job. I understand where the idea comes from, and if they're willing to pay then I'll provide. However my studies are more involved in allowing for more nonconventional uses of magic"

03:51 GyroTech cocks his head in curiosity, "Nonconventional uses of magic? Do you mean like how you mentioned being able to go invisible in shadows? What other abilities does this reasearch allow for?"

03:51 < Dusk> Well that's what my innate ability allows me to do.

03:54 Dusk holds up her hoof and shows off the bronze band "This allows me to use that ability with a bit more definition. I've managed to be able to teleport to any spot that is connected to the same shadow. It gets really interesting at night. Where shadows are a tad more abundant."

03:58 GyroTech actaully stands up from his seat and walks to the other side of the table gawking at the artifact. "Does it only work for you? Is this newly manufactured or just some adaptation of one of those powerful old artifacts?" The unicorn reaches down to touch the object, forgetting his manners.

04:00 < Dusk> It was designed around my magic yes, but I'm sure another with a similar ability would be able to use it. This was forged by a compatriot by my own design. This was made about 3 months ago.

04:08 GyroTech lets out a "hmmm" as she explains. "I hadn't realized that such magic had been rediscovered...Can I try it just to see?" He runs a hoof over the metal band.

04:10 Dusk removes the band and sets in your hoof "Sure, It's probably not going to have the same effect on you, but have a go."

04:15 GyroTech turns over the ring in his hooves before slipping it on. "So...how does it work? Will I just know what the effect is?"

04:19 < Dusk> Gyro feels a spark travel up his hoof and a weight gather on his hoof. Dusk looks him up and down to see if he has any direct changes "I don't know what specific effects it could have on you. What is your talent?"

04:23 GyroTech shudders as the magic jolts through his body. "Oh, umm well, my talent is related to engineering. My magic mostly relates to shaping and strengthening metal and wood, usually for large mechanical devices." He looks over himself, looking for changes himself.

04:28 Dusk ponders curiously "I have no idea how it would enhance your magic." She notices that he shuddered and pats up his shoulder and notices that her hoof shimmered when she did so.

04:31 GyroTech sticks his tongue out to the side in thought. "Hmm...well how did you find out the effects for you?" He wasn't looking when her hoof shimmered.

04:38 Dusk pulls her hoof away "Well it's be design. I designed the gem on the front as a focal point for the magic."

04:42 GyroTech opens his mouth to speak but the waiter comes to interupt him by bringing out the food. He seats himself back down on the otherside without removing the band. "Oh foods here!" he exclaims happily, waiting for the plates to be dished out. "Huh so it might not actually do anything for me?"

04:44 < Dusk> "Maybe not, or maybe your innate magic isn't helped by being focused at that point" She looks at the delicious food and smiles.

04:48 GyroTech purses his lips into a confused frown, "Well...I felt something when I put it on...a small rush of energy...but if its a matter of focal point perhaps..." He slips the ring off of his hoof and drops it around his horn, looking quite silly as the ring is way to large for it, resting mostly on his forehead.

04:50 Dusk giggles "Put it back on your hoof, and try to use telekinesis as if your were using your horn. I dunno if it'll work, but it's worth a try."

04:53 GyroTech takes a bite of his noodles before lifting the object off and slipping it back around his arm. He gives a slight chuckles as he raises his arm, feeling quite silly, but he concentrates on levitating the noodles.

04:56 Dusk watches a greenish outline envelope a the noodle "Hm can you lift it without moving your hoof?"

04:58 GyroTech 's jaw drops open as the noodle seems to levitate a little, even though he didn't feel the magic flowing out of his horn. "Umm...maybe?" He lower his hoof down to the ground, still trying to move it. "This feels so weird."

05:03 Dusk gawks at the unicorn's hoof "I've never had anyone try this before. This is rather interesting." She writes some scrawl in her little notepad.

05:11 GyroTech puts his hoof down below the table before taking another bit to eat. "Hmm...I"m not sure being able to cast from my hoof is really that useful though, unless I was a crippled unicorn or something..."

05:14 Dusk nods "I know, but that wasn't the purpose of the band anyway." She takes a bit of her own food and gasps in delight. "Mmm~ this is really good!"

05:18 GyroTech giggles happily as she seems to delight in the food. "See, I told you this place is really good. I"m a big fan of Istallion food." He removes the ring and slightlly reluctantly levitates it back over to her side of the table. "Well...I suppose this is more useful to you then."

05:24 Dusk smiles at you before slipping it back on "Well I suppose I can look into something more unicorn oriented for you. Thanks for bringing me here."

05:31 GyroTech claps his hooves together excitedly, "Oh, that would be pretty cool." He lets one of his hooves brush against her leg. "I'm glad you like it," he says, grinning and staring into her eyes.

05:35 Dusk eeps and smiles as she catches your glance "You're a very interesting pony you know that?"

05:38 GyroTech giggles as she squeaks. "And you are also a very interersting pony, and quite cute on top of that."

05:41 Dusk squees and blushes "Thank you! I appreciate compliments from sweet ponies."

05:44 GyroTech leans accross the table and brushes his nose off her nose with a hoof, taking off a little bit of sauce. "You had a little something there." He seems even more charmed as his hoof touches.

05:48 Dusk giggles and looks at you, her grey cheeks turning very red "O-oh.. I didn't even...hehe" She makes her legs under the table rigid in embarassment.

05:56 GyroTech pulls away his legs as she stiffens. "Oh its alright, I got it for you," he says, chuckling at her blush. "You were red very well."

05:59 Dusk stammers "I-i...thank you" She smiles and continues to look into your eyes

06:02 GyroTech leans into the table, resting his his head on his hooves, smiling brightly.

06:05 Dusk leans forward a bit, still blushing and being careful to avoid her food.

06:06 GyroTech closes most of the rest of the distance, leaving just a small gap, pursing his lips a little bit in anticipation.

06:14 Dusk leans the rest of the way forward pecking your lips softly with hers and murring softly.

06:16 GyroTech coos gently and parts his lips, turing his head slightly and pressing his tongue softly against her lips, waiting for them to open.

06:19 GyroTech humms happlily as he lets his tongue dance with Dusks and trace around her mouth.

06:21 Dusk caresses your tongue and murrs softly into your mouth while still gazing into your eyes

06:24 GyroTech raises a hoof to the back of her neck, mussing and rubbing at her mane as he continues to kiss.

06:25 Dusk presses further into the kiss, and uses her hooves to prop up onto the table a bit.

06:29 GyroTech murrs happily as he continues to be quite involved in the kiss, closing his eyes in delight.

06:33 Dusk gets a bit too into the kiss and accidentally kicks the table as she slips forward. She blushes and eeps as she attempts to keep her lips pressed to his.

06:36 GyroTech feels the table lurch forward, knocking Gyro's plate onto his fur. The unicorn blushes quite brightly, pulling away as the hot sauce soaks up into his fur.

06:38 Dusk looks into his eyes and pulls back with a furious blush "I'm sooo sorry. I really didn't mean for that to happen." She looks down.

06:42 GyroTech looks down to see half of his meal covering his fur. "Oh...my ummm...its fine It'll come off. This is worth it if I got to spend time with you." He grins back at her, trying to clean it off of his fur. Sadly it seems to be smearing around the alfredo more than anything.

06:45 Dusk sighs "I didn't mean to ruin a perfectly good meal though." She hoofs over her napkin and smiles meekly, "Here maybe this'll help?"

06:47 GyroTech manages to get all the noodles off of him but there's still quite a large white spot where the sauce soaked into his fur. "Well, its alright. I did enjoy what I did get to eat of it."

06:48 Dusk smiles "Would you like to share the rest of mine?" She edges her plate near you.

06:53 GyroTech grins widly, "Well if you're sure, that sounds great. he scoots his chair to where tis right next to her so that they can share more easily.

06:55 Dusk smiles and nods "Of course! I'm more than happy to." She sits down and murrs softly as she takes a bite of her food.

06:57 GyroTech tries to discretly find the other end of her couple noodles with his magic, lifting them up to his mouth and followin them to their inevitable conclusion.

07:02 GyroTech blushes a little bit, this time only letting the kiss be a small peck before pulling away with a giggle. Returning to the food, he takes care not to repeat the experience so it doesn't get awkward.

07:05 Dusk smiles and twirls her fork in the noodles to get another bite and eats it "Mmm~"

07:09 GyroTech murrs softly at the flavor. "I think you made a good choice as well." He doesn't eat too much more, leaving the majority for the cute companion.

07:12 Dusk continue to take bites of the remaining food until she finishes the plate> Once she finishes she looks over at you and smiles "Thank you for taking me here. You want me to pick up the ticket seeing as I ruined your meal?"

07:14 GyroTech shakes his head slightly, "Nah, this was supposed to be my treat remember? I've got it covered," he insists, like a perfect gentlestallion.

07:18 Dusk smiles "If you insist, thank you very much. You're sweet." She turns towards you a bit and looks you over"

07:27 GyroTech grins back, "Dont worry about it, thanks for a delightful lunch, You are absolutly adorably wonderful." He gives her a hug, forgitting about the alfredo on his chest which transers onto her fur.

07:31 Dusk hugs back and blushes as she feels the sticky alfredo stick to her "Oh my... hehe, and you're a real sweetheart. You know that?"

07:34 GyroTech 's tail swishes about excitedly. "I'm glad you think so, I'm excited to have met you." He levitates a couple of bits onto the table to pay for the meal, still holding the mare in his embrace

07:40 Dusk smiles and leans into you and turns her head to kiss his cheek gently.

07:42 GyroTech blushes an even brighter shade of purple and returns a peck on her cheek before breaking away. "I suppose I better get cleaned up, but would you mind telling me where you're staying first?"

07:47 Dusk opens her mouth and then stops herself before blushing "I um...haven't actually gotten a place set up for myself yet."

07:54 GyroTech has a worried look cross his face. "Oh no! You havent found a place? How long are you intending on staying around? What about that friend you were on a mission with?"

07:57 Dusk raises an eyebrow at your worried look "Well they already live here. I just need to go find where they live. I hadn't exactly had the chance to do so yet. Now I'm going to have an interesting story to tell him though."

08:00 GyroTech lets out a relieved sigh. "Oh good, I'm glad you have a place. Who is this friend? Mabe I can help you out?"

08:04 Dusk shakes her head "You don't know them I promise. They won't even be remotely awake before nightfall."

08:05 GyroTech cocks his head at her answer, "But I thought there were only 2 bat ponies in town....have I maybe missed a couple?"

08:07 Dusk giggles at the thought "Batponies aren't the only nocturnal ones in this city." She looks into the sky, squinting at the sun.

08:19 Dusk and smiles at his deductive skills "Depends on how many gryphons you know who stay up that late." She giggles.

08:21 GyroTech shakes his head sadly. "I must admit, those arn't the usual types that catch my eye.

08:23 Dusk nods understandably "Yea. I understand. He's only been around himself for a little while too."

08:26 GyroTech lets out a long sigh. "Sadly I"ve got to run off. It was nice meeting you Dusk. I live in the workshop on the Northwest side of town, on the outskirts. Please feel free to visit me anytime."

08:27 Dusk smiles "Alrighty I'll be sure to stop by sometime. I'll bring that prototype over for you to try out. Sound good?"

08:28 GyroTech bounces excitedly at the mention of the prototype. "Oh yes! That would be great, I cant wait to get to mess with that. I'll give you a tour of the place whilst you're there as well."
