Catch Up Date

17:24 Stoic got up from his couch when the clock struck 7:30 in the evening, moving to the bathroom to look at himself in the mirror. This may only be a friendly night out with Sweet Treat but that didn't mean he didn't want to look his best. With a smile on his face, quite happy about his look, he troted out the door to go meet the mare at her shake shake. With him he brought a big of bits, enough to pay for anything they ordered for dinner and her owe

Why would he not, he was making ties with his ex and making up for a mistake he made. It took about 20-25 mintues to get to his destination but soon enough the shake shack came into view.

17:29 Sweet_Treat was busy shuttering down the business for the night, locking the gate and cleaning up the different utinsils inisde. She's just about finished when Stoic nears, though she hasn't noticed him yet, being in the back.

17:51 Sweet_Treat tries to catch the back with her hooves, and fumbles it, letting the bag crash into the ground. With a blush she reaches down and picks it up, setting it on an inside counter. "Stoic, this is a bit much..." She counts out the propper number of bits and gives the jingling bag back to Soic. "You know the shakes are only like 10 bits right?" She shakes her head and heads on out the door, giving him a playful thack of her tail.

17:56 Stoic chuckles to the mare as she fumbles it, not so much laughing at her blunder but at her ability to be quite cute while doing so. 17:43 Sweet_Treat falters in her steps as Stoic brings up the past, not really wanting to dwell on such things. A brief look of sadness flashes accross her muzzle as she sighs. "Its a shame that couldn't have worked out better...But yes thats in the past. Are we almost there?" She asks, picking up her pace.

17:51 Stoic does his best to push the thoughts of what happened out of his mind, reasuring her that they are close and low and behold the little resturant comes into view. Like the gentalcolt he was, he opened the door for her to walk in "Sorry about my comment... I'm trying to make a habit not to bring that up..." He tried to reasure her, not liking the look on his face when he blurted that statement of the past out.

"Look its alright...It happened, but its too late to go back now. I dont think I could do anything with you like that again." She turns away and walks up to the host, "Table for 2 please?"

18:07 Stoic the host looks to a chart, finding a open table for two and leads them through the little establishment. He lead them to a more secluded place, with only four tables, all of them in perfect view of an open window with a view of the sunset and the impending night sky "Here is your table" He motions to one of the four tables. Stoic couldn't help but think again of the past, the view made him think this was a room for couples lookin for a roman

18:36 Sweet_Treat follows the hostess to the back room, and looks out at the sunset, with a faint smile on her face as it fades down over the water. "A quite wonderful view. I love eating out on the peir, they always have such great views. Its a shame I cant do it too often," she mentions taking a seat, before begining to pour over the menu.

18:40 Stoic did the same, chuckling as he looked out to the setting sun "It is quite an enjoyable esperience, I will agree. Especially with fun company~" He said, smiling to her face before poreing over the menu as well "Hm, they changed it up a bit... though I still see my usually, the veggy roll sandwhiich"

18:50 Sweet_Treat flashes a smile back at stoic, before looking back down at the sheet. "I cant say I've ever had this before? I want to try something local to Nipone though, not some hybrid food. WHat would you recommend?"

He ordered green tea as well and as the mare went to go prepare it he makes a suggestion "Well, if you want staight up Nipone... some Edamame should be a good start" He offers with a smile, pointing to it on the menu under the sub-section "Straight from Nipone"

19:05 Sweet_Treat looks over the menu and reads the description, hmming as she things to herself. "Well, we probably sould have ordered that when the waitress came for our drinks. Says right here that its an appetiser. But ooh, how about the cucumber rolls? THose sound pretty good."

19:08 Stoic chuckles a bit as she speaks of his mistake, he should have stoped her but he wasn't going to dwell on that. Thankfuly, the kind mare gave him a conversation to focus on as his eyes gaze down at the cucumber roll "Hhmm... that does sound quite scrumptous." He comments, smiling up at her

He leans in and takes a deep sniff of the fragrant liquid, sighing before taking a sip. "Mmm, this is a pretty good tea." The mare smiles back at him and nods, "Ya, it was a pretty nromal day. A friday even, so alot more ponies on the docks. Plenty of ponies stopped by in the heat. And how was your day? Are you feeling any better?"

After a few sips and about a minute or so passes by, he puts down his cup and response "Yes... a very bad thing. I'm sorry that happened in the first place. If I knew this was the outcome, we could avoided this whole awkward situation... but, maybe we can work on fixing that burnt bridge and start anew"

20:46 Sweet_Treat sighs and folds her ears flat as this subject continues to come up, shaking her head and frowning. "Look, the best way to move on past it and repair those bridges is if it would just stop coming up. It hurts me every time it happens."

While she knew he was hiding something from her, since the whole situation seemed odd, she wasn't going to press it for the moment, though Stoic could see her expression. She lets teh silence hang over them for a couple of moments.

He bargained with her. hoping that his tone expressed his nervousness about the subject properly.

21:53 Sweet_Treat sighs and shakes her head, looking a little disapointed at teh stallion. "Stoic...I thought you were a childerens counsiler. Dont tell me that you actually foalnapped her without gettting permission from anypony? If her parents were abusing her you should have gone to the guard..."

About that time the waitress arives with their food,a nd lays out the rolls infront of Sweet,a nd the sushi sandwhich infront of Stoic. "Mmm that looks scrumtpios."

22:33 Sweet_Treat lifts up one of the rolls in her hoof and stuffs it into her mouth, murring at the interplay between teh seaweed, rice, cheese and avacado. "Oh, that is pretty good. Thanks for introducing me to this place Stoic."

If you know any good places to eat, then please recomend them next time we go out like this... assuming you'd want to..." He trailed off and went back to eating his shandwhich, not liking where that sentence was leading.

22:45 Sweet_Treat has another roll and gulps it down as well, slowly making her way through the entire roll that was on her plate. "Oh, well...Why whouldn't I want to meet again for dinner? This was pretty fun, and you are very respectful of me this time."

23:06 Sweet_Treat pushes the bowl of edemame between the pair, looking down at it with a smile before popping one of the salty beans into her mouth. "Mmmm these are good to." She takes a moment to gather her thoughts to respond to Stoic. "The past is something that happened, and if you want me as a friiend, we just ahve to get beyond that. If you can do that, then we'll be fine."

04:03 Stoic leans back in his chair and sighs as he finishes off his last cup of tea, places it back on the table before speaking "It may suprise you to know that I wasn't seeing her on the side but I doubt you'd believe me... just, give me one last chance. You know how perfect of a match we were, how we met in a bar and I showed you I wasn't just trying to get you for a night..."

04:13 Sweet_Treat shakes sighs and turns to wave the waitress over for the check. "Look...if you cant let this go and understand that, at least right now, I am not comfortable seeing you outside of a friendship, then maybe I shouldnt even just do that..."

He got up from his chair and offered a hoof to help her out of hers "Thats fair, I will not... the foal came before Nadine anyway, but its going to be horrible without a mother... 04:59 Sweet_Treat takes the stallions hoof after he pays and gets up after him. "Hmmm well, I'm sure you'll work it out. You are a childs specialist anyways," she points out. "Still, at least she didnt leave you with the other two little ones...How long did you say she disapeared ago agian?"

05:07 Stoic leads her out of the resturant and down the peir "Well, yeah... hate to have two equally sad children... and shes been gone for nearly 2 weeks." They soon come to the end of the peir "Now... This is wear we part... well, unless you'd like company home? It is proper to walk a pony home after a outing, but only if you want it so."

05:17 Sweet_Treat frowns and looks Stoic over. "Its been only two weeks, and you're looking for a romantic partner?" She asks, incredulously, shaking her head. "You do realize that she might come back then...Just give yourself some time before you become too distraught. She might have gotten lost delivering a package or something. The guards will turn her up."

05:19 Stoic nods to her as he started leading her home "Well, thats what I'm hoping for... but shes not really one to get cross-country packages. They don't give pregnent mares that kind of stuff... I hope she comes home but..."

05:28 Stoic looks back to her with a defeated expression "Well... yeah, execpt she didn't even say good bye to me when she said... I didn't even give her a good bye kiss. Its different when they don't just leave, they disapear... its why drinking can be an addictrtion and why the heartbroken suffer the same effects..."

05:35 Sweet_Treat sighs defeated, still frowning at him. "Look...I'm jsut saying its a little bit quick to jump to "Oh I'm never going to see her again after something like that. Missing ponies have been found months after they've disapeared and its unlikely something happened to her. Just keep up some hope."

05:38 Stoic stops walking turns to her and looks her straight in the eyes "And do you know how they usually find those ponies... dead, they find them dead... and every day they don't find her the more I feel thats the case. So please, question my motives when you get a chance to experience it yourself..."

05:51 Sweet_Treat facehooves and stops in her tracks to look stoic straight in the eye. "Look, many a pony has gone through what you've been through and many times they're found alive. Two weeks is not so long as to give up hope, so get that out of your head. She'll be foud allive and it will be fine." She then turns to pick up the pace towards her house, seeing the building loomming in the distance.

06:00 Sweet_Treat gives stoic a pat on the back and finally returns a smile to her face. "Well, tahts what I'm getting at. You kept implying you wanted me as a lover, a mate, and I am not up for that with you, but I can be there as a friend. Just dont give up." She smiles one last time and then looks up to her balcony. "Well...looks like him home."

06:05 Stoic looks up and nods to her, puttng a hoof around her and pulling her into a soft and gentle embraced cuppled with a nuzzle "Thank you for the lovely evening... shame it has to end now. Would you like to make another time... I sure could use the breaks from scowering the city and regular buisness"

06:40 Sweet_Treat gives Stoic a hug back and nods to him. "Ya, this has been a pretty great evening. I'd love to do it again. Hopefully next time with your beloved in tow. Alas, I gotta go to bed and prepare for work tomorrow." She gives the stallion a quick nuzzle and flies up to the balcony and waves him off before heading inside.
