Cant Hide Titles from a Lunar Guard

17:01 Dusk brushes herself off as she lands at GyroTech's door, wearing a bit of nicer clothing, nothing too frilly just her dark orange jacket. She sighs a bit, not having seen him in a little bit and decided she wanted to see if he wouldn't mind going out to lunch. She knocks on the door and waits.

17:14 GyroTech had locked himself in his study once more, as he has the last couple of days, working furiously on a new project to take his mind off of inky. Outside his door, he hears a faint knock and pulls away from his drafting table to open his office door, listening to see if he'd hear a second set to actually confirm someone at his door.

17:19 Dusk swallows a bit as nopony comes to the door, frowning a bit as she was sure he'd be home and decides to know again, this time a little harder. "Gyro! It's Dusk..." She says a little loudly as she continues to wait a bit more, letting out a little sigh as she gets a little unsure.

17:23 GyroTech hears the second knock and sighs, making his way down stair, moping, that is, of course until he hears Dusk and perks up at her name, feeling a little better. He opens the door with a smile, though Gyro didn't quite look as he normally did. His mane and tail were off, mussed up like he'd not actually bothered to do more than a cursory comb of them. "Hi Dusk. What's up?

17:27 Dusk smiles as she sees him open up the door, her muzzle turning back into a smile as she looks him over, giving a bit of a chuckle as she sees his state, looking like he'd been stressing over stuff and not really caring about his appearance like usual "Nothing much...I decided to come see you and maybe hang out? Go get something to eat...maybe? It's nothing too big"

17:33 GyroTech hmmms to himself, considering her proposal and gives a tacit nod. "Ya I suppose that'd be good. Maybe some time with you is exactly what I need..." He responds, a little absentmindedly. Stepping aside he beckons her into the house. "I'll be right back, I gotta go take care of this," he says, gesturing at his hair. "I wasn't really expecting to go out nor anypony to show today..." He responds, making his way towards the stairs.

17:37 Dusk nods and steps into his house, shutting the door behind her as she does, nodding to him as she makes her way into the living area "Well I'll be right here. You don't need to worry about too much I'm not too picky and it's not like we aren't friends or anything right?~"

17:51 GyroTech wanders upstairs and then begins to brush his mane and tail. He may be in a down mood, but he wasn't going to compound it by looking like a slob in public. Finally, about half an hour later, Gyro returns with a meticulously shaped mane and tail, and sporting a jacket that matched his eyes. "Alright Dusk, I'm ready when you are. Did you have somewhere in mind?"

17:53 Dusk nods a bit to him, smiling at his snazzy stallion comes down the stairs and she smiles a bit as she greets him "I've got a little sandwich shop in mind where I also happen to like getting tea from and I figured you wouldn't mind too much...if you don't want to we don't have to though I can see something's eating at you{

17:58 GyroTech forces out a small laugh and shakes his head. "Eating at me? What would be eating at me? I'm fine, everything's....fine, " he responds not wanting to admit anything towards Dusk. He perks up once more, "Anyways, let's go there. I've got a hankering for some good tea right now."

18:01 Dusk shakes her head a bit at his reaction, decidedly not wanting to press the issue as she just wants to have a good day with him "Alright if you say so. And the place is a little bit away from here." She says as she gets up as she walks up to the door, smiling at him as she does "We can go ahead then! They make a a good tea"

18:08 GyroTech forces a smile towards Dusk, hurrying along behind her. "So... I heard what happened to inky recently..." He says, not leveling any accusations against her, but his tone is slightly accusatory.

18:14 Dusk falters a bit and looks down, her ears flattening against her head as she walks, a little sad look coming to her muzzle "Oh? She told you then...yea...it happened and I'm working on my own fixes to my equipment. I...I...yea...I don't know what to say about it"

18:18 GyroTech huffs and stops his walking, staring down at the ground, his tail hanging low. "She's mad at me about that... Mad that I had no solutions and then she stormed out of my house 3 days ago... I think she's avoiding me. She's not been home whenever I try..."

18:21 Dusk looks back at him and frowns a bit "Oh...I'm sorry to hear that and all...I'm almost stumped myself to be honest with you...it's really hard to deal with it."

18:32 GyroTech sighs even deeper and shakes his head. I just wish she wouldn't be mad at me for something that I have no control over... " He says, dejectedly, a deep frown appearing on his face as he resumes walking.

18:35 Dusk starts walking again as she notice him resume, sighing a bit as she looks down "Look...I'm sure she has her reasons. I didn't really have too much control of the situation either and I can't apologize enough for that...she knows this though"

18:40 GyroTech grunts as he walks, and responds, "I wish you hadn't used her as a guinea pig, then she wouldn't be mad at me..." His voice carries a bit of blame directed at the mare.

18:43 Dusk glares at him a bit as she looks back "Hey...you know it wasn't like that. Scientists wouldn't care if they hurt a guinea pig... I definitely am trying to fix it. And if you'd rather me just leave you right now I will if you stay on this topic. It's not the subject I came to converse with you about."

18:47 GyroTech shrinks back under Dusk harsh look and tone, stumbling slightly. He leaves a dead silence in the air for a couple of moments before finally saying quietly, "You're right, that wasn't fair. I know you didn't mean for that to happen."

18:50 Dusk cracks a little smile as he gives her room to change the subject "Mhm...well I just got back from canterlot yesterday. I had to report the findings on being goo and all of that and how you changed me back so that they could do a medical examination"

18:54 GyroTech perks up a little bit upon hearing Dusk had been in his home town, looking up from the ground and back at her. "Oh? But there are decent stripeys here too, and they make the best doctors, short of healing unicorns. Did everything check out alright?" He seems concerned that maybe permanent damage had been done.

18:58 Dusk sighs a bit as she points to the shop that they were stopping in front of, willing to continue the chat for a bit before heading inside "I know there are but there are regulations in the guard that I have to follow. And mostly...they weren't too happy about the damage to my side but since it's mostly cosmetic they were generally fine with it. There's a little muscle deformation in that area but it doesn't affect too much" She finishes as she holds open the door f

19:06 GyroTech bites his lip fairly hard, looking sorrowful at Dusk. "Oh wow... You know I'd foot the bill if you actually wanted to go see a magical healer. I don't want you to keep that scar..." He trots in after the door is opened, finding a table and taking a seat.

19:08 Dusk sighs a bit and nods to him as she follows him to a table, swallowing a bit as she take her seat across from him "Well...that'd be fine for a little bit later and all. Just not right now I appreciate the thought though..."

19:16 GyroTech looks over the menu in front of him briefly, before setting it aside and reaching for the tea menu. Flipping to the white tea section, his eyes scrolled down till they reached the royal quality section and selects a tea out of there, before passing it over to Dusk. "I have the bill, pick whatever you want. And I really do hope you consider my proposal. I want ya healthy again."

19:20 Dusk nods to him with a smile and gives another sigh as she looks over the list for a nice red tea, picking her own as she sets the menu down "Thanks...really. It'll be a little bit before I can go to anypony about it though. Once I get cleared medically I'll come talk to you about it and all. You're right though I shouldn't need to have this for the rest of my life"

19:24 GyroTech flags a waitress over to the table and places his order, adding a gyro on top of his tea. "Well do let me know then"

19:26 GyroTech smiles at Dusk, letting her order before asking, "Now, you said you wanted to talk to me about something? Did you finally decide to take me up on my sprocket offer?"

19:32 Dusk nods to him a bit and smiles "Well I'm coming up with some complex designs that can use them so that'd actually be nice. It really depends on how small you can make them and have them still be useful at decently high mechanical loads"

19:37 GyroTech nods happily in response. "I had a feeling that might be what you wanted to talk to me about. As you know, the smaller I make them, the less energy you can store, but it's roughly proportional. I don't think there's a better spring on the market. How small were you wanting?"

19:43 Dusk nods a bit and smiles brightly "Well I need 6 that are about a quarter inch in diameter and about an inch long, then I'll need 4 that are about 2 inches in diameter and 3 inches long"

19:49 GyroTech puts a hoof to his muzzle, as if thinking on it before saying, "Yep, I should be able to accomplish that." Just then, their tea arrives. The unicorn takes a deep sniff of the liquid, murring at the delicious smell. "Yes, nice and delicate. This should do nicely."

19:52 Dusk smiles a bit and nods to him as he smells his tea, rather than do the same she gives hers a little sip before setting the cup down "See I told you they did well here. And that's good to hear I figured you'd have the technical prowess that I'd need. I'd rather not deal with the bureaucracy of the captital trying to get parts for various stuff when I know plenty of good ponies that can do just as well"

19:57 GyroTech snorts and turns his nose up in the air. "Just as well? Did I not just say that my Springs are unmatched on the market? This alloy is mine and mine alone." He picks up his cup and takes a sip, nodding in approval as the light bitter liquid tickles his tongue.

19:59 Dusk sticks out her tongue a bit and nods to him "I heard you, and that's why I'm trusting you with it. I'm just used to using parts issued by their commissioning is all. I'll let the trials speak for your quality"

20:00 Zuthal (does not allow this, though he is probably not going to be doing RP tonight, as both channels are occupied and he just doesn't want to intrude on anything or steal anyone away)

20:04 GyroTech crosses his hooves, lifting up the glass to take another sip. "Well, you should get my parts added to those lists. I could always use some extra bits. I hope they don't scoff at my prices though. Double the energy is worth at least triple the bits."

20:06 Dusk nods again ad smiles a bit "Well I'll see about it I'm sure they wouldn't mind using your stuff...I'll get back to you on it and it might take them a bit to get back to you"

20:09 GyroTech smiles approvingly, nodding back at her. "Good good." He hums to himself as he sips on his tea, waiting for their meal to come around.

20:14 Dusk continues to sip at her own tea, blinking a few times as she goes over the rest of her events in canterlot, a couple of meetings and stuff that had gone on with various technologies being exported now as the need for various talismans tobe manufactured and various other acrane devices that she'd helped design needed to be sent to the other nations

20:40 GyroTech listens intently to Dusk's story, especially paying attention to the inventions. He makes a yech face as Dusk mentions meetings and stuff, making it very clear he did not at all like that song and dance. He notes that he's surprised the military is sharing technology with our prospective enemies, especially the savages of the griffon Kingdom. At some point their food arrived and he began chowing down on his Gyro.

20:45 Dusk shrugs a bit as she's already done with her food, looking up at him a bit as she finishes it up "...well the technologies we share aren't necessarily ones that could be weaponized. Lady Silverhoof keeps it quite controlled as far as what we decide is worthy of sharing and I think she does a magnificent job at making some of our stuff marketable over there. She's got quite the silver tongue"

20:50 GyroTech shudders almost imperceptibly as Dusk mentions his mom, biting his lip and Making no show of being impacted by the name. "I suppose that's good to hear. I take it Steel Lance is pretty good at keeping silverhoof away from marketing any dangerous technologies, cause you know she would in a heartbeat. ?

20:55 Dusk nods a bit and smiles blinking a few times as she realizes her knows a bit more than she thought "Wait...how would you know? But yes you'd be right..."

20:59 GyroTech shrugs at Dusk, and gestures to himself. "Cmon, would you really expect me to be ignorant of the ponies who run our nation? Trade policy is fairly important to my job." He explains rather hastily, nor wanting Dusk to have time to come up with another explanation.

21:04 Dusk frowns a bit as he starts talking faster, giggling a bit as she nods "While that's true...something tells me you know them on a more personal level. Because the media hasn't really mentioned Steel Lance too much...most of the credit was given to Lady Silveroof..."

21:10 GyroTech coughs in surprise at Dusk's accusation, shaking his head in protest. "A more personal level? How could I possibly know glitter personally? Or Steel for that matter? It's more reported in the business journals." He responds, waving a hoof.

21:14 Dusk frowns a bit and thinks back to the crest she remembered of his "But...you have the...oh...!" Her eyes widen a bit as she remembers where she saw his crest from, "Y-you...have the Silverhoof crest..."

21:25 GyroTech squirms in his seat, his eyes widening as well, though his from a mixture of shock and fear as Dusk hits home. "I... No no I don't... I... I think you might be misremembering something" He argues back, though his body language all but confirms Dusk's guess.

21:29 Dusk shakes her head again, this time a bit harder as she points at him, "Uh huh. I don't believe you. You're related to her at the very least then...if not like what her son?" he smirks a bit as she tries to figure him out

21:39 GyroTech squeaks loudly at the next accusation, looking around to see what patrons where nearby. He puts a hoof to the mares lips and shushes her, lest the others catch on as well. "Just...just keep it down please...nopony is supposed to know that..." He says, finally admitting to it.

21:42 Dusk eeps a bit and squeaks as he presses his hoof to her lips and blinks a few times with a nod, leaning back a bit so that she can talk "Oh alright then...jeeez. We can discuss it at you house then right?" The stallion crosses his hooves into a pout and groans, not really wanting to go into such matters. "Its not important anyways..." he protests, staring at his food. He begins to slowly pick at the last of his gyro, trying ot prolong the wrap as much as possible to delay the inevitable, though unwanted discussion.

21:48 Dusk looks at him, as she'd finished her food long ago. "To you it might not be, but you've certainly piqued my interest. That has to count for something right?"

21:53 GyroTech lets out a long irritated huff and drops a hoofful of bits on the table, taking the last couple bites of his sandwhich. "Fine...I guess I can go back to my house with you...I just...I dont' really like that stuff..."

21:56 Dusk tilts her head a bit and blinks a few times wondering why he didn't he seemed like he'd fit right in "Why not? I mean...I can just come back to your place and generally hang out then...if you'd rather me drop it. Since you respected my wishes earlier that is"

22:04 GyroTech lets out a long sigh and and nods at her as he starts to head towards the door. "I mean...I like some things well enough...but then you gotta act all prim and proper and always be respectfuland doo all this stuffy nonsense," he complains as he begins to head on towards his house.

22:07 Dusk giggles a bit and nods to him as she looks back "I know...don't you think I know that? I'm an officer after all...gotta deal with all of the political stuff anyway so it's nothing new to me. I rather like some of its moments though..."

22:13 GyroTech rolsl his eyes at Dusk and shakes his head. "No, its not the same, you only have to deal with it when your present. I would have to deal with it /all/ the time if I didn't abandon that life. As you can imagine my parents are not terribly thrilled with my chosen occupation."

22:15 Dusk nickers a little bit and nods to him understandingly "Well...yea. I guess that would make that aweful. It's bearable every once and a while though I'm not gonna lie."

22:26 GyroTech shakes his head as they near his house once more. "Don't get me wrong, there are some nice perks, but it isn't worth the problems associated with it. I don't advertise my position hear because then It will be weird..."

22:30 Dusk nods again and frowns a bit "Well I suppose it's best not everypony know either. Trying to be somewhat of a normal pony then? I mean...I can't really blame you at all because you're right. stressors of politics aren't fun at all, but somepony's gotta do it."

22:33 GyroTech pops open the door and makes a beeline for the couch, plopping down on it. "Well its worse than that. Enen non politcal stuff...all those parties...which are fun at first, but then you have to show everyhone that you're willing to grant them your presence lest you insult someponey. And hanging out at a bar is generally discouraged...and ugh..."

22:35 Dusk nods as she shuts his door, sitting on the couch where his hooves ended "Well I never went to the parties or any if that. You've got me as far as that goes...I can't imagine that's fun though either...everyone in a dick measuring contest"

22:46 GyroTech lays back staring at the ceiling. "I guess I better be happy that my parents havnt disowned me...Its a badly kept secret that I'm not doing any 'useful' position, but my parents are well connected enough that nopony calls them out on it as long as I pretend when I go to Canterlot. They do, at least, support me because their son not living a nice lifestyle would be a scandal in and of itself."

22:52 Dusk lays against him and sighs "Well as long as you're alright with living like this who am I to argue? I'm glad you're doing as well as you're doing." She rubs his back softly and murrs happily against him

23:00 GyroTech shrugs at her, murring at the gentle massaging. "No, I dont' mind. Its pretty great. I could stop working if I wanted. The only thing I dont' like is when I have to visit home. I either have to hide that I'm in Canterlot, or play at being a noble again. As you can imagine...I'm only there for special occasions.

23:03 Dusk nods a bit more "Yep...I'm not there more than that really either... I mean I have to report once a month but other than that I don't have to do much in regards of canterlot...and that makes me fairly happy"

22:07 GyroTech nods back at Dusk, pressing his body up into her hooves. "I usually only have to show up for things like the Gala, and important birthdays and such. Usually only a couple time a year to keep everybody happy, but still...Sometimes I wish I could just go there for things like the Jousting finals. But...doing that means going home and playing dress up."

22:15 Dusk shrugs again, shaking her head a bit more and giggles "I think you've developed a little bit of a reputation here too...it's not all bad, just most mares who know of you and still go for you obviously know what they're in it for. You and your ways with us...I don't know how you do it."

22:20 GyroTech giggles andleans forward to give her a small kiss. "Well, I'd like to think the town here is big enough that ponies dont quite know me like that. I like romancing ponies. If they're just in it for the activities, its not nearly as fun," he explains, wiggling his hips enticingly on the couch.

22:23 Dusk gently kisses back and shakes her head "You'd be surprised. Word gets along nicely in this town, you're not a big thing yet but I've heard your name tossed around a couple of times. I don't imagine you double dip too much though...other than me...and maybe Inky"

22:10 Dusk shrugs a bit and shakes her head with a little sigh "I've been to the Gala a few times...I stopped going as I'm not required to at all. The posh events not really catching my interest there as it's hard to speak your mind there or present new ideas without being judged"

22:13 GyroTech murmers his agreement towards Dusk, "Ya...I'm not a big fan of those events either. Its apperently really impolite to try and woo every girl you come accross there and...I may have developed a little bit of a repuation among the nobility." He admits, with a little bit of a grin.

22:27 GyroTech sighs and shakes his head at Dusk with a little giggle, "Oh, I do on occasion, perhaps you two a little bit more than others, but I hope word doesn't spead /too/ far. I'd be disapointed to have too much of a reputation like that. Its just...nobles gossip a fair deal."

22:31 Dusk nods a bit and tilts her head at him with a little giggle herself "You're acting like mares don't gossip here. Gossip's everywhere sweetie. In the bars, tea houses, restaurants, and workplaces. Most ponies I know like to talk about their nights most of the time it's a good conversation placeholder.

22:42 GyroTech nods and and takes a deep breath, looking at Lucent as they enter the lobby. He stops in the center of it and tries to give his friend a passionate kiss right there. "Anything for you..." He whipsers right before his lips meet Lucent's, 'forgetting' about the desk clerk nearby.

23:03 GyroTech sighs, looking down at the ground instead of up at Dusk. "I mean...Suppose, but I was hoping htat such a large city would grant me a deal of anonimity that I cant get among the noble class. I just hope I can manage to be a little bit of a face in the crowd, before I start attracting the wrong type of mare."

23:06 Dusk shrugs once again and watches him, not really sure what to tell him "Well...I mean...sorry to hear that then...all I can say is that you've underestimated this city. The stuff I've heard never really seems to come from more than one mare in a group anyway so...it's not like you've got many mare's who were friends that you've done it with"

23:11 GyroTech sighs and shrugs back, asking, "Where do you encounter these ponies anyways? I didnt think I'd done it with /that/ many of the guards, though they do look so cute in uniform...I should go to that pub near the barracks more often." He lets the silence han in the air for a moment before adding, "I just hope I dont end up with too many that just want me for the bedroom..."

23:14 Dusk shakes her head a bit "Why would I be hearing it from the guards? It's not like I don't go out and enjoy myself every now and again out in town. It's fun and it gets me social interaction and sometimes new friends"

23:23 GyroTech shrugs at her, putting a smile on his face. "Well...I dont know, I just figured that maybe it was pretty likely that you hung out with alot of them because well...becasue I thought they might be more your type." He says, without a hint of shame at stereotyping the mare.

23:28 Dusk shakes her head a bit more and ponders about what her type really is "Well...to be honest...I don't have a type. I'm more of a social butterfly so whilst I do hang around at the barracks and bars there sometiems there comes into question whether or not I'm fraternizing with my subordinates which is frowned upon...so generally I keep away unless I'm invited to a party or something where plenty of other ponies will participate

23:35 GyroTech snickers at the suggestion of Dusk being with the ponies under her and shakes his head. "But...wouldn't fraternizing with your subbordinates ruin half the fun? They'd probably just agree to anything to get on your good side, not that that can't have some benifits of its own. Where do you go then anyways?"

23:40 Dusk shakes her head and frowns at him "No...it's their time off why would they just listen to me? It's not like I've got anything to say to them as far as work goes...taking work home is such a bad stressor"

23:43 GyroTech leans up to rub Dusk's mane gently, "I think you missed my point. They'd want to get on your good side so that you put less work on them in the field or something...I dont know," he reasons. He feels a little relieved that Dusk isn't focusing on his past anymore, the conversation swtiching.

23:58 GyroTech hmmms and strokes her mane a little longer before dragging it down her body to massage her back. "Well...You cant tell me you've never done anything like that though can you? Surely there's a pretty mare...err stallion in that group that you've gone and done a couple things with?"

00:00 Dusk looks at him like he's silly as he corrects himself and shakes her head a bit "Well duh...I'm not opposed to trying to get with stallions or mares in the guard. Just not in my division, I like my job too much. There have been some rather sweet ones

00:05 GyroTech giggles again as she corrects him on her tastes and smiles back, "Oh really now? Surely once or twice wouldn't hurt if no one knows. But...If you like the mares as well...is there any chance I could convince you into a threesome with me and Inky once she gets over her anger at me?"

00:09 Dusk blinks a few times and giggles at him as she shrugs a bit "Wait...I thought you knew about Inky and I...and what all we've done..." She giggles a little bit more as a blush comes to her cheeks, looking down a bit and licking her lips awkwardly

00:18 GyroTech tilts his head, looking at Dusk with obvious confusion on his face. "What? You and Inky have done things before? Oh...well then...that's...that's new. Why wasn't I ever invited?" He asks, sounding more than just a little bit supprised at the revelation.

00:19 Dusk giggles a bit and shakes her head again "Well...I mean I really care for her...I thought that might've been aparent a while back...y'know...nevermind...It's not important. Now you do know..."

00:26 GyroTech nods at Dusk, grinning, "I mean, I knew you cared for her, but I have friends I care for, that I dont quite feel /that/ way about like ummm...umm..." He searches his mind for one such friend, but, all that springs to mind are the various mares he's befriended over time.

00:29 Dusk sighs a bit and shrugs, looking away "Well that's fine...I guess I haven't had a reason to tell you really...it's not that big of a deal. I'm sorry that you have been with so many ponies that you can't really name anypony. It's not something that I'm concerned with...if you can convince her then I guess I'll think about it"

00:40 GyroTech shrugs at her comment looking up at her. "Its not that...Its that I just cant seem to find any stallions who I get along with long term. They're all so finicky and fleeting...Can you please talk to Inky for me. Tell her I'm sorry for whatever I did, since she wont listen to me?"

00:45 Dusk shrugs a bit "Maybe...I haven't seen her in quite some time...I don't feel so good about going to go see her either...we've been really distant lately and I dunno how to feel about it"

00:52 GyroTech sighs towards Dusk and shakes his head. "You to? But you'll have to see her to fix her magic. If you see her before I do, could you please, please put in a good word for me?" He asks, sounding quite desperate.

00:54 Dusk nods a bit and looks down, "Yea...whenever that happens I'll be sure to...though I don't know exactly when that'll be. Or if she'll even need my help at all...who knows she's a resourceful mare..."

00:57 GyroTech sighs, looking down once more in sadness, strating to feel a little miserable again. "Well...Dusk...I suppose I ought to get back to work. I dont need to keep you any longer from your hunt for a cure..." He says dejectedly, getting up to a sitting position on the couch and preparing to stand up.

00:59 Dusk nods to him and holds out her hooves to offer him a hug "I'm sorry for all that...I just had a burning curiosity is all...thanks for actually being open with me about it and all. I appreciate that"

01:08 GyroTech gives Dusk a quick hug as he stands up, before breaking it off. "Its alright...Just please...dont tell anypony about this. I 'm not suposed to spread it around afterall."

01:09 Dusk shakes her head and smiles to him "You have my word. I won't tell a soul. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!"

01:10 GyroTech waves Dusk off as she leaves, turning to the head back up the stairs to lock himself in his office once more. "You too Dusk."
