A Ball to Remember

23:48 GyroTech wakes up the next morning in his bed, his pillow was still damp with his tears, reminding him of the events from the previous night. He lets out a sigh as his day is instantly ruined and he quickly prepares for the new day, showering and dressing up in another elaborate garb before heading out, making his way towards the spa. Come to think of it, Lupine hadn't mentioned where she was staying, so he figured there might be the best place to start. ***

23:54 Lupine was already enjoying the comforts of the White Lotus, her aunt having already offered a room for the entire trip. She was thinking about going out again, but first...a proper wake up! She grins as several mares were attending to her every need, who were all giggling as they thought it funny that Lupine would even allow this many ponies near her.

00:01 < Dusk> (And yes, I'm waiting for Gyro to just walk in on Lupine)

00:06 GyroTech spots the bar and notices that its not open apperently the spa didn't open at the sunrise, not that he was particularly supprised given the clientel they cater to. He slips in the front door and begins wandering the halls when he here's a noise. He stalks down the hall and peers inside, only to see Lupine being attended by a swath of ponies. He tries to pull himself away, knowing it would be rude for him to watch, but he just cant. ***

00:12 Lupine giggles softly as she was lying on her back, while several of the mares were busy with every part of the bat mare. Two were busy with cleaning her wings, licking them calmly as though they had done this a hundred times over. Others were giving Lupine a proper pedicure, making sure that her hooves were not only clean, but trimmed and polished. One mare was busy with her mane, brushing it down before applying some oils and light perfumes. From the looks of it, Lupine had already had her bath, and was just 'finishig up.'

00:16 GyroTech becomes quite jealous as he watches all the attendents pouring over her, pampering her so well. Gyro decides to bite the bullet and trot into the room. "You've got quite the attention here, I'm quite jealous." he states, announcing his present in the room, "So is the wing licking a normal thing or do you enjoy it because of your uniqueness." he teases, tyring not to let his bad mood show through just yet. ***

00:22 Lupine seems to be too far out of it as she has her eyes shut, purring contentedly as she lets herself be fawned over by the seven mares. One of the attendants finally tuens to Gyro as she was finished with the mane, smiling oddly as she walks on over. "She is a blood relative of Lotus, and a welcome guest here." She then gives him a curtsey and motions to a cushion for him to lie on. "If you would like, you can wait until young Lady Wingate is properly attended to."

00:28 GyroTech frowns in anxiousness at the attended. "Its kind of really important that I speak with her," he states quite anxiously. He tries to step around the attendent and get to Lupine. "Lupine I need to speak with you," he says, more sternly this time. ***

00:33 Lupine seems to snap out of it as she opens her eyes, the attendants already finishing up with her as they moved to put the equipment away. A few of the mares just look at Gyro as they wondered who he was, and why he was even allowed in here, before opening time. The bat mare then stretches out and smiles at Gyro, flitting over and giving him a peck on the cheek. "Oh...good morning!" Her smile soon fades as she sees the frown on his face, not sure what to expect. "u-um...is something...the matter?"

00:42 GyroTech doesn't even perk up like he usually did at the kiss. "I need to speak with you..." he looks about and notices the attendents, "alone." His voice was a mix of forceful and woried, and his face told her that he had some grave news. ***

00:46 Lupine mare droops her ears as she immediately walks to a door, waving away the attendants as her expression hardens. "I...I see..." She beckons for the unicorn to follow, leading him down a hall and into a room. With a sigh, she locks the door behind them both before taking a seat on the bed inside, looking at Gryo expectantly. "What...what is wrong?"

00:49 GyroTech follows her down the cooridor in silence waiting to speak till they were safely away from prying ears. He takes a deep breath, preparing himself to reaveal what he had discovered. "Its Dusk...He's getting involved with blood magic and I can't get him to see reason." ***

00:52 Lupine lets out a tiny gasp as she quickly realizes what this connotates, but...Dusk wouldn't do this sort of thing...can he? "B-but...blood magic is...v-very..." She then lets out a sight as she recollects her thoughts. "How...how do you know?"

00:56 GyroTech bows his head low to the ground, a solomn expression on his face. "Because...he told me. He casually mentioned getting some more magic imbued in him and runes engraved. Something about transformation magic. You know how he's aready quite seethed in blood magic gone wrong...He thinks because of that he can control this..." ***

01:00 Lupine nods slowly as the mare doesn't say anything for a while, as though contemplating on something. She shuts her eyes for a few moments before speaking to Gyro, her voice now that of her other self. "Then there isn't much we can do at this point. If the runes are already set in place, then he's already paid some sort of price." Her eyes open to reveal the crimson hue. "Did he mention what he was intending on transforming into? And who was the one who performed the ritual? For something of that nature, you need somepony who knows exactly what they are doing."

01:06 GyroTech sighs sadly, "I know there's nothing we can do at this point. I'm worried that it doesn't end here. I think he may be intending to have more spells put into place..." His voice becomes more worried as he speaks, eventually trailing off. "Yes he said something about disguise magic and somthing about training with Luna. I didn't get much more out of him since he got mad about me telling him this was a bad path to go down. He seems to be on some self riteous campaign to rid the world of criminals and others he sees as a drain on society." ***

01:06 < GyroTech> (It would be interesting for them to hear about a disapearance of a noble during this, given how we left off last time, though not right here, that'll be something to work in later.)

01:12 Lupine nods again as she takes a moment to think. "I have read up on his files, and what sort of magic he was initially imbued with. BUt..." She takes another moment to ponder, frowning to herself. "If you want an expert on this sort of magic, you will need to talk with my aunt again." Before Gyro can argue, she holds up a hoof. "I know that blood magic is forbidden in Equestria, but to the north, we have to rely on some sort of channeling without the aid of unicorns. Lotus can help, I believe."

01:22 GyroTech ruluctantly aquesses, "I guess...if you're sure that she won't let anything slip out...maybe we can consult her." He waits paitently to be led out of the room, and follows Lupine through the hallways. ***

01:27 Lupine nods again as she leads Gyro to a familiar room, with the double doors revealing Lotus seeming to be busy with..."Lupine! I've asked you to knock before entering!" The older mare was blushing furiously as she shoved something into a dresser before berating Lupine some more.

01:29 Lupine stands her ground as she doesn't seem fazed; in fact, she seemed kind of amused. "You and I both know what you were doing, and you know that I wont tell a soul. On one condition..." She nudges Gyro forward with a wing, snickering to herself. "My friend needs to know about the intricacies of blood magic, and..." She explains the situation, about how Dusk was delving into more blood agic, and his current situation.

01:32 GyroTech blushed awkwardly upon entering the room, feeling a little bit guilty about barging in on her aunt like this. "I'm sorry, I was just following her," he's quick to say, squeaking in embarrasment. Gyro just sits back as she explains, interjecting here and there with a point of his own. He does talk well enough about blood magic to show that he's fairly familiar with the basics of it, though probably hadn't practiced any himself. ***

01:37 Lotus narrows her eyes in contemplation as she soon forgets her nearly being caught red-hooved. "I see. This stallion is treading a very dark path, one that even the best can quickly falter on. Lupine..." She points to the door and nods to it. "See to it that Feldspar knows about this. If this...Dusk...intends to be a part of the Lunar Repbulic, then perhaps my brother can help." As Lupine quickly flies out of the room, the doors shut behind her, leaving only Gyro inside with Lotus. "Now...tell me some more about how this all came to be. How did Dusk ever know about this sort of magic to begin with?"

01:44 GyroTech explains about dusks past and how he was supposed to be a sacrifice for some crazy zebra blood mage who managed to anger the spirits in turn. He tells her about the strange powers it gave him..."And..." Gyro looks extremely nervous about this last part, shuffling about on his hooves as he tries to decide wether it would be OK to let Lotus know. After considering it for a good minute he decides he should. "He's been hired on as a contract killer for the crown, to take out a number of untouchable less desirables, and it seems to be getting to his head. He's beleiving their propoganda..." ***

01:52 Lotus lets out a frustrated sigh as she looks down at Gyro. The crown...of course they turned to somepony else when the dracoponies refused to do this sort of work. "So...they've revived the Shodden Hooves, if what you say is true." She goes on to explain how this organization was around before the rise and fall of Nightmare Moon. "They were an honorable group, only accepting contracts for dangerous cultists and evil beings. BUt..." SHe starts to seem troubled at the thought. "they've been disbanded centuries ago, and I haven't heard of them returning. Tell me...is there anypony that seems to lead the group? It sounds like this...agent, if he is one, is rather loose-lipped."

02:07 GyroTech looks even more worried as she explains the organization. "This seems likc such an abuse of the crowns power. It is quite troubling." He then thinks for a moment, putting a hoof to his mouth. I don't know if she is his handler, but he did mention one pony I hadn't heard of. A madame occuli" ***

02:15 Lotus bares her fangs as she nods in agreement with Gyro. "I do not care for many of the ponies that dare disturb the peace, but...this undermines everything that the law stands for. Execution of criminals are supposed to be put on trial, not to be simply disposed of, as if they never existed!" Her anger starts to subside as she droops her wings. "Gyro...I need to know. Is...Lupine a part of this?"

02:20 GyroTech shakes his head reassuringly, "No, I'm pretty sure she's not apart of this. She is aware of Dusks position though, and, as have I, chose to keep it a secret for his safety." Gyro bows his head in shame. "Actually, I'm more apart of it that she is...I provided Dusk tools to keep himself safe since I care for him and don't wish for him to befall any harm in his terrible duties...Though if he choses to go further down this path, I don't know that I can in good conscious continue to do so." ***

02:27 Lotus sighs to hersef as she lets herself drop onto the bed, as though trying to clear her head. "You can hardly blame yourself if this agent is asking for help. He cares about you, or at least trusts you enough to divulge this sort of information." She then grabs a vial and empties the contents into her mouth, letting out a sigh. "Ahhh...much better...in any case, I am glad that Lupine isn't involved, but...it makes me wonder why we were told to send her there..." SHe contemplates for a moment before turning back to Gyro. "I...I need you to do me a favor. I don't want my niece to live with this agent; even if he means well, he is still a killer for hire, and thinks that he is above the laws of Equestria. Can you think of a place where she can stay in Seaddle?"

00:38 GyroTech eyes the vial she's drinking from trying to determine its contents."Thats understandable. That doesn't seem like the best situation...Still..." Gyro puts a hoof to face in contemplation. "I don't know of any place in particular...I can't host her, not with my relationship with Naisol. Those two mares living together might cause issues since Lupine has those types of feelings for me...THere are always a couple places availible for rent around the city. Its pretty large. I'm sure we can find her somewhere." ***

00:56 GyroTech sighs and shrugs his shoulders in frustration. "What would you have me do then? I don't know anyone that I could offer up as being willing to take her in Im afraid...Surly you do thing that her and Naisol sharing a roof with me would be a bad situation...And speaking of bad situations, she works at the same bar that Dusk runs...Why does she work anyways come to think of it?" ***

01:01 Lotus doesn't seem to be fazed by this as she takes another moment to think. "I know that Lupine has more friends than just the ones you speak of; she likes to write about them whenever she can." She starts to smile as she pulls out a few of the letters. "Perhaps you can read through them and tell me about these friends; maybe there is somepony you missed?" An ear titches as she tilts her head to the door. "And as for why she works...it keeps her mind off of things, and it is not god to have idle hooves."

01:07 GyroTech puts up his hooves in protest. "How about you just go through the names for me...I don't really feel comfortable reading her letters without her givnig the say so." He shifts about for a second before asking another question. "Dusk seemed to indicate that he thought there was a further reason to me being an emmisary than just you taking a likeing to me. He said you also probably wanted me to spy on Lupine and report back to you about her...I can't help but wonder if this is true..." ***

01:14 Lotus snickers as she reads out the letter, shaking her head in disbelief. "The fact that you are a close friend of my niece is a factor, I will give you that. But spying? Hardly." She flips a page as she reads out a few names, none of whom sound like anypony Gyro might know. "Lupine is a mare, and if I wanted to find out anything, all we have to do is ask each other." She then reads off a couple of more names. "Slots...Cooper...Xolani..."

01:23 GyroTech perks up at that last name. "Yes, Xolani is a good mare and the local appothecary. She's definatly a good str--zebra and always eager to help. I don't know if she'd be willing to take up a roommate, but I guess we can always investigate that. Still, continue on, lets keep our options open." ***

01:29 Lotus nods as she continues to read off a few names. "Let me see...Red Heart...Sunny Ray...Aquamarine..." She continues for a while, starting to put letters down as she does so. "Also...keep in mind that I do not expect you to do any more than your duties. We may ask to know how Lupine is, but nothing beyond how she feels and if she wants anything from home." She then puases to read off a few more names, flipping through papers like crazy. "Short Cake...Oculous...Dusty Shelves..."

01:38 GyroTech sighs in relief at the reasssuring. "Good, I wouldn't be comfortable about spying on her, but I'll definatly keep you updated on those sorts of stuff. He then growls a little when he hears Oculous's name. "Her! she's the one who got Dusk involved in all this shit. What does that letter say about her?" he demands, suddenly fairly riled up. ***

01:41 Lotus frowns as she looks over the letter some more. "Nothing much, unfortunately. All that it talks about is the two having a wonderful time while having tea. Guessing from the details of the letter, it took place with a lot of trinkets of some sort. It says here that Lupine was given a statuette of a unicorn mare."

01:47 GyroTech huffs loudly in frustration. "Nothing? Ugghh. Well...I suppose its probably a good thing I don't know too much about her, I'd be too tempted to give her a piece of my mind...Anyway, was that the last letter?" ***

01:52 Lotus nods as she sets the pile back into the desk. "Yes, that was the lest of them. Now..." She clears her throat as she gets properly dressed for the day. "Tell me; if you WERE to meet this Oculous, or have any issues with Dusk, be sure to let either myself or my family know about it. This is troubling news, ponies being killed in such a manner. However..." SHe sighs as she puts her hood over her head and sets her glasses properly. "We haven't much sway over the Princesses, certainly no more than the nobles. And t is possible that they are in on this, as well."

01:55 GyroTech nods in understand. "Yes, I wouldn't hesitate to let you know of such an encounter." He frowns as she continues. "The princesses would have to be in on such a thing wouldn't they? I couldn't imagine such an orgainization existing behind their own backs." ***

01:58 Lotus nods to Gyro in agreement. "I'm sure that they are, but I was referring to the nobles, or at least some of them, in key positions." She bites her lip in frustration. "As much as I would hate to amit it, many of them would be willing to facilitate this to curry favor from royalty."

02:04 GyroTech snorts in disbelief. "I seriously doubt that, they'd be pressing a knife against their own throat with some of the things the nobels get off to. To turn against each other like that would weaken the power of the whole class and give it to the throne. Surely none of them are so stupid as to do--" Gyro then facehooves interupting his own speech, "No, actually, you're right, some of them are that stupid." ***

02:11 Lotus simply nods as she grabs an orange and inspects it. "It is a sad fact, but there will alwys be those who care more about themselves than others. Nobles, commoners, unicorns, earth ponie, pegasi...even our kind." She sighs as she peels the orange with a fang, taking off a section and offering it to Gyro. "Are you hungry?"

02:21 GyroTech takes the orange slice graciously. "Thanks, I kind of rushed over here as soon as I woke up and skipped out on breakfast." He levitated the slice into his mouth and munched down, quickly devouring it. "You never gave me any suggestions about how to deal with Dusk..." he observes. ***

22:53 Lotus simply shakes her head as she offers his the rest of the orange, pulling out another for herself. "If dusk is a part of the SHodden Hooves, then it would be best to simply go with business as usual; the last thing you need is to have a potentially vindicive stallion on your hooves, especially considering he may not be entirely himself at this point."

22:57 GyroTech peels at the orange a part and eats it slice by slice, talking as he chews. "And what about the current situation with me providing him tools? I don't really want to continue at this point, but I dont' want him to get mad at me if I cut him off...He can be quite the dangerous pony to be on the bad side of ." Gyro's ears fold flat against his head as he stares at the floor. ***

23:00 Lotus takes another moment to think. "Then give him a reason why you cannot do it, apart from simply telling him 'no.' Say that you are busy, or that you just took on a large project. Or...perhaps you wanted to focus more on the emissary part of your job." She smiles warmly as she drapes a wing over the blue unicorn.

23:06 GyroTech snuggles into her wing. "Yes...I suppose I must do that...Thanks for the help." Gyro steals a quick kiss on the cheek from her, blushing a little. He doesn't seem to care that the mare is old enough to be his mom. "So, is there anything else you need of me? The party is today and I have a cute bat mare to assist in preparing to be my wing at it." ***

23:09 Lotus smiles as she moves in to kiss Gyro back, seeming to quite enjoy his company. "You're quite brave, even for such a cute colt as yourself..." She hugs him slightly tighter as she bares her fangs, opening her mouth slightly as she moves closer to his neck. "Such a tender...sweet colt..." She licks her lips as she sees how Gyro was going to react, playing with him.

23:12 GyroTech puts a hoof up to her snout gently. "Not today...I can't have myself swaying about like a drunk pony before I even show up at the party...plus I think its Lupines turn afterwards and I can't do more than one donation every couple of days...I ended up in the hospital once. That was hard to explain." He says sincerly. ***

23:19 Lotus smiles warmly as she leans back, nodding in approval. "Very good, Gyro! I'm actually quite impressed, right now. You show many qualities of a proper pony, and it will serve you well when you are working with others of the Republic." SHe then lowers her voice. "You must also keep in mind...a few WILL try and take advantage of you in this way, so be on your guard. The last thing I want to have happen is you becoming anemic in order to please everypony there." ***

23:24 GyroTech looks a little hurt, his ears folded flat against his faice and his muzzle pressed into a frowm. "I dont show all the qualities of a propper pony? But I grew up in the right household for that sort of stuff." Then he gifves her a sly smile. "You don't think I'd trade blood for diplomatic favors do you?" His tone indicating that it was something he had been condsidering in some measure. ***

23:26 Lotus smirks as she licks her fangs. "I am saying that if you do intend to go that route, then be on your guard. And also keep in mind that the mares are typically the ones that live up to our...*ahem*...lovely derrogatory name for our race. Flying leeches, if you will."

23:33 GyroTech can't help but giggle a little as she says the slur. "I never let myself get so lost in another pony that I can't think straight...well almost never...umm may be half the time...umm I'll be on my guard?" His confidence dwindles a little under her gaze. ***

23:35 Lotus starts to purr softly as she presses even more, her voice becoming sweeter as a predatory gaze comes upon Gyro. "Oh...but you're strong enough...I know you are..." Her lips part yet again as she lays on the charm. "Why do you think I chose you, my dear...?"

23:41 GyroTech smiles back at her, relaxing under the sound of her charming voice. His grin grows even wider as she lays down the compliments. He giggles nervously and offers up "Because I'm too handsom of a pony for a ctue mare like you to pass up?" He pulls away again as she bares her fangs, though this time with much more resistance and not far enough away that she couldn't close the gap if she wanted to. ***

23:49 Lotus starts to murmur something as a sweet, warm breeze plays across Gyro's face, as though tempting him to simply give in. Her voice seems to be dripping with sweetness as she whispers into his ears. "You ARE such a handsome young colt...and I would never let go of you..." A sly smile creeps across her lips as she wraps her wings about him, making him feel nice and warm in her gentle embrace.

23:57 GyroTech leans in a little closer, the wings around his body making him feel quite warm and safe. He presses his head against her shoulder and closes his eyes, murring a little. He's completly mesmerized by the bat pony. ***

00:02 Lotus smirks as she simply holds him there for a moment, exhaling softly as she presses her lips against his neck, as though she was biting him again. She murrs softly for a few moments as the older mare gently sucks on his neck and rubs his sides. After a couple of minutes, she finally pulls away, snickering as she is quite humored as to how easily he fell prey to this. "Gyro...we really need to teach you how to stand guard agains the wiles of a bat mare. I could have drained you into unconsciousness, had I actually pierced your skin."

00:09 GyroTech tries to pull away breifly as her lips touch his neck but soon sucumbs to her fake bite. He remains there hanging limp until she finally lets go. He actually topples to the ground as she pulls away he's so stunned. He looks up at her and smiles sheepishly. "Hey, that was no fair. You cant use your charm on me like that." ***

00:13 Lotus grins cheekily as she seems quite proud of herself. "Looks like this old mare still has it..." She seems to be quite enjoying herself, giggling softly before offering a hoof to help Gyro back up. "But there really is a method to this, my friend. I am quite practiced in this art of...seduction, for lack of a better term. You need to learn how to resist it if you are left alone with some of the other daughters of Luna." She then kisses him on the cheek in a motherly fashion. "I will be honest, you ARE rather cute, though."

00:18 GyroTech takes her hoof and gets to his feet, dusting himself off a little. He lets out a long sigh. "Surely my cuteness will protect me right? I mean, they wont wanna hurt me for fear of damaging my good looks right?" He grins cheekily. "Still ya...your probably right...I don't need to get too trained while om on the job, I'm sure I'll get ridiculed for being drunk..." ***

00:24 Lotus frowns as she shakes her head at Gyro. "I am saying that your cuteness may be more of a hindrance to you than a boon. They will no better than to harm you over something as simple as blood, but you WILL be weakened by the ordeal, and it will cloud your judgement." She sighs as she looks down and strokes his mane. "I am merely looking out for your best interests, and I don't wish for you to become known as simply a walking bloodbag." The emphasis on that last phrase makes it sound like it was almost whorish in nature. "You would do well to choose your new acquiantances wisely."

00:28 GyroTech slinks down as she admonishes him. "I'll try to do better next time..." he squeaks out timedly, shying away a bit as she stroked him. "I've turned down Lupine on a number of occasions...I'm sure I can figure out how to turn down other ponies as well..." ***

00:31 Lotus softens her expression as she lift his chin up, smiling down to the colt as she keeps on stroking his mane. "You must keep in mind that this was meant to be very difficult to resist, and I didn't expect you to break awayfrom the spell. What I'm trying to teach you is that you cannot be so full of yourself when dealing with other mares, as they see that arrogance as a vulnerability to be exploited." She then kisses him on the forehead. "Be on your guard, my friend, and I have little doubt that you will overcome any temptation thrown at you."

00:39 GyroTech protests to defend his pride. "I'm not arrogant and full of myself...I'm just confident in my abilities." He beams smuggly, her lesson appears to be lost on him, at least he doesn't show that he's understood it. "I shall over come, this was just a minor slip up...Anyways, I've got to take Lupine out on a date now..." ***

00:45 Lotus narrows her eyes as she felt quite indignant from his inability to see his own faults. She flares out her wings as she changes tack, no longer coddling Gyro. "You're acting like an arrogant foal, Gyro! I am not making these statements lightly, only to be ignored by you!" She doesn't seem ready to attack, but her demeanor shows that she is more than just irritated. "I have lived for well over a hundred years, and have served the nobility of Canterlot for much of it; do you think I am saying all this just to be wasted upon deaf ears??" ***

00:52 GyroTech shrinks back from her under her fiery demeanor. His lip quivvers a little bit in minor fear. "Y-Y-Yes maam...I'll t-take your advice...d-d-don't worry..." He does a quick glance aroudn the room for the door and tries to discreetly back towards it. "I'll learn to be aware of those winged leeches and steer clear...staying around only the good draco ponies." ***

00:58 Lotus lets out a sigh as she folds her wings again, shaking her head to herself. "You are a smart pony, but you have much to learn about life. I am trying to help you, and while some things are best left for you to learnon your own, this isn't exactly one of those situations. Your reputation would be at stake, as well as the reputation of our family, should you falter in your duties." She then points to the door and nods. "Your friend should be back by now. And..." She smiles warmly as she pulls out a box and offers it to Gyro. "Tell your mother that I wish her the best, and that she is always welcome to visit me." ***

01:03 GyroTech relaxes a little as she lets him go, taking the gift with his magic and making his way out the door. "I shall and...thanks for the advice." He turns and steps outside into the hallway, heading towards the chamber he last saw Lupine in. ***

01:07 Lupine was already getting dressed for the party; or rather, the attendants were dressing her up as the mare simply stood there, giggling all the while. After a few mments, they were already done, and each of the four mares were thanked with a eskimo kiss from the bat mare. She smiles warmly as a bit of red mist seems to escape her nostrils and enter each of the mares, but they don't seem to be under any spell. In fact, they seem to be quite more energetic after each breath. "O-oh! I..." Lupine blushes a bit as she finally notices Gyro, carefully trottin over and looking him over. "Are you...ready for the big...day?"

01:23 GyroTech finds a good spot to stand and watches as the mares dart accross the room, his eyes taking notice of each and ever one of their better features. 01:26 Lupine giggles as the mare seems to be her old self already, seeming to be quite happy for him as she gives him a friendly nuzzle. "Well...I hope that...your mother...like the gift we made..." She motions to the box and smiles, the mare deciding to ditch the hood and cloak entirely for something more...proper. Her dress was fairly modest for a noble, but would have been quite acceptable for a party. ***

22:44 GyroTech eyes the box curiously looking over the rather plain, but well wrapped package. "I'm sure she will, as shown by your image here, and your chosen chaperone, you have excellent taste. You didn't have to actually get her anything you know, since you're my guest but it will be appreciated." Gyro throws a foreleg over her shoulder and indicates to the door. " Are you ready my darling? Shall we go?" ***

22:44 Lupine smiles meekly as she leans ever so slightly into Gyro. "Of course. I...I am looking forward to...meeting your...mother. " She gives him a tiny kiss, on the cheek, as the two leave. "Lotus...is happy...too. .."

22:48 GyroTech leads Lupine through the street, heading towards his own tower. As they arrive it was clear that the festivities had yet to start. Many ponies had already started to gather around the tower and started filling up the hall. Most of the Nobility had been invited as per usual. ***

22:53 Lupine tries her best not to look nervous, the mare putting on a smile as she sticks close to Gyro. "Oh... so many... ponies. Your family must be... loved. Or at least...respected." She takes note of all the noble ponies, seeming to gauge them while trying not to be intimidated.

23:00 GyroTech gives her a shrug. "When the birthday is for one of the advisers on Celestia's court, everypony shows up to curry favors. I'm sure half of them are just looking for a way to suck up or stab her in the back," he states acidicly. He brings her over to his parents to introduce Lupine to them. "Mom, dad, this is Lupine, one of my closest friends. Lupine, this is Ms, and Mr Silverhoof." He does the apropriate gestures. ***

23:05 Lupine smiles warmly as she starts to feel welcomed, drawing on her experience as a noble to give them the proper gestures of a guest. "A pleasure..." She then blushes slightly as she offers her gift, in accordance with her kind. "The moon smiles upon you, today. May you find joy in another year, and cherish it with those you hold dear."

23:12 GyroTech lets out a breath he didn't know he had been holding as Lupine does the propper courtesies.

23:12 Lady_Silverhoof and gives her a warm smile as she takes the gift. "Why thank you." Looking Lupine over she asks, "So you're one of Gyro's friends?" with a slightly skeptical tone as if Lupine wasn't the sort of pony she'd expect her son to hang out with. ***

23:16 Lupine smiles meekly as she nods to the lady of the house. "Yes. I am...Lupine Somali Wingate. Daughter of...Obsidian Leoni Wingate. At your...service." She gives the mare an elegant courtesy, her heart pounding from being so nervous.

23:20 Lady_Silverhoof gives Gyro a nod of approval over his choice and smiles brightly back at Lupine. "Oh! One of the Winggates? The pleasure's all mine in having you here. Please make yourself at home and enjoy the party." She leans in and talks a little quieter to the two of them now. "So how long have you two been together?" she asks, nonchalantly.

23:25 Lupine blushes as she looks over at Gyro, already picking up what Mrs Silverhood was implying. "O-oh! We...I..." She seems at a loss for words initially, her mind racing before deciding to help her friend. "We... met several months ago. He is...a very kind stallion... raised properly..." She then leans ever so slightly towards the mare. "You... have done well..."

23:31 GyroTech turns bright red and appears a little bit flustered at the question initially, looking at Lupine and giving her an uncertain grin. He lets Lupine speak first before clarifying, "Lupine is just a close friend who happened to be in town," he admits trying to guage his mothers reaction. "I...ummm...My marefriend couldn't make it here sadly," he admits, his eyes downcast as he kicks a forehoof at the ground.

23:32 Lady_Silverhoof seems quite dispointed upon hearing this just saying "Oh..." before going silent for a couple seconds. "So then, tell me about your marefriend then. Why couldn't she make it?" ***

23:34 Lupine smiles as she tries to think of something quick. "She is... away on very...important business. I... actually happened to... chance upon your son... in this fine city. He has... been most accommodating..."

23:43 GyroTech goes silent as his mother suddenly turns the question on him, a worried look crossing his face, which eases a little as Lupine offers up a little bit of a story. He jumps right on it. "Yes, she's out on a...a...an emisarial mission out accross the sea to the Zebra nation," Gyro Offers up.

23:43 Lady_Silverhoof raises a skeptical eye but decides not to press further instead turing to address Lupine. "I'm glad I've taught him so well then, if he's managed to entertain a princess such as yourself so well." ***

00:09 Lupine then looks slightly down, as though embarrassed. "Please...I am... no princess. Merely a...servant to...Luna... and... to her children."

00:16 Lady_Silverhoof gives Lupine a motherly grin and responds, "You don't have to be so modest." Gyro gives a little bow to his mother and leads Lupine away to join the rest of the party which was finally starting up, servants running around everywhere with trays. "So...what do you think of my mom?"

00:21 Lupine smiles as she daintily takes one if the little snacks. "She is... quite the noble mare..." Her tone of voice is neutral, as though trying to be polite about it. "I... I'm sorry I... implied... well.... you know."

00:24 GyroTech returns the smile and says heartily. "Ya...she does come off that way. I think my father is less worried about my image than she is...and don't worry, I just don't think it will go over well if they think I "dumped" you for Naisol." ***

00:31 Lupine eats the snack rather quickly, though she did her best to keep her manners. "I...I know better than... that. I just...I want you...happy. The both...of you..."

00:37 GyroTech lets out a sigh. "I know you're trying and I thank you for that. Is there anypony here that catches your eye?" As he speaks, Gyro leads Lupine over to the wine bar and grabs a glass, taking a couple sips. ***

00:44 Lupine sighs as she looks about the room, her eyes narrowing as she seems dissatisfied with all the stallions. "They seem like...no... I'm not going... to say... out loud..." She mouths the word "rats" to him.

00:51 GyroTech gives a little sigh at her reaction, knowing that her aunt had insisted he try and find her someone. "Well...I'm sure they're not all bad...just most of them. Lets take a walk near them and see if I recognise any of them or if any seem to take an intrest in you." He gently pulls Lupine in their direction. ***

01:00 Lupine seems a bit apprehensive at first, obviously not very keen on that idea. "But...I don't... they..." She sighs, relenting to her friend and allowing him to lead the way. "Fine... just... don't be..." She then glares at one of the stallions, who she got a very bad vibe from.

01:03 GyroTech doesn't notice Lupines glare and walks up to the dark coated stallion. "Oh, hey Moondust, its been forever since I've seen you. You're looking well. This is my friend, Lupine," he says, introducing her. ***

01:03 Moondust seems a bit disinterested as he looks over to the unicorn. "Oh...parents drag you home, finally?"

01:11 GyroTech nods sheepishly, "Well...umm...yes they did. I couldn't really miss out on my mothers birthday could I?" He quickly switches the conversation. "So, what are you up to these days?" ***

01:14 Moondust smiles slightly as he looks at Lupine, but he can't help but brag about his exploits. "Oh, nothing extraordinary. Just waiting for acceptance into the Castle Guard. I don't see why they wouldn't accept me, with my lineage and my talents. "

01:17 GyroTech gives him a smile. "You don't happen to be after the same position Windsor is are you? I seem to recall he's much handier with a lance than you ever were." Gyro gives him a friendly pat on the shoulders. ***

01:21 Moondust brushes Gyro aside, as though insulted. "And like you are any better, you little fairy. While you are off in the boonies, we are actually trying to do something! "

01:23 GyroTech puffs out his chest proudly. "Oh...did I fail to mention that I've been appointed the emisary for the NLR? I guess being well traveled has its perks, wouldn't you say?" Gyro nudges Lupine, "Isn't that right?" ***

01:26 Lupine blushes furiously as she watches the two try and one up each other. All she can do is nod as she looks away from the two.

01:26 Moondust seems quite intrigued as he takes a closer look at Lupine. "What a fine specimen...Gyro, is this yours? "

01:29 GyroTech suddenly decides this isn't the stallion he should be introducing her two and nods affirmatively. "Yep, I met Lupine a couple of months ago in those so called 'Boondocks.' Perhaps if you weren't so stuck up, you might be able to find a mare like her one day." ***

01:35 Lupine lets out a sigh of relief as she turns to Gyro. "Thank you..." She then gives the stallion a baleful look. "A...fairy? Such...crudeness..."

01:35 Moondust frowns as he felt like he should be the one chastising them. "Excuse me? I am from the finest line of nobles in this city! Nopony questions what I say! "

01:38 GyroTech rolls his eyes. "Moondust...why don't you quiet down. You're making a scene. I'd hate to know what would happen to your chances if you got thrown out of the party of one of Celestia's advisors for disorderly conduct." Gyro presses a hoof against Moondust's snout condisendingly as he speaks. ***

01:43 Moondust slaps the hoof aside, glaring daggers at Gyro before turning up his nose. "Not like I wanted to stay here very long, anyways. Such dull parties..." He walks out in a huff, knowing full well what could happen if he v was escorted out.

01:46 GyroTech gives a smirk of trinpahntness as he walks away and then turns to Lupine. "I'm...sorry about that. Its been awhile since I last saw him and I was hoping he'd changed some. But...I guess not." He looks sadly at Lupine as he speaks feeling bad for that encounter. ***

01:50 Lupine doesn't look at Gyro, feeling used by him in that situation. "You... weren't much better..." She gives him a look, a rather hurt expression. "Why...are you bragging...about things... offered to you? And not.... yet earned?"

01:53 GyroTech turns his head down as she admonishes him. "I...I'm sorry...I let his hautieness get to me, but I couldn't just admit that yes I'd been galloping around the world to find a place to settle down away from this life. It just doesn't work like that. You've been among nobles much as I have and know that." ***

01:58 Lupine nods slowly, knowing full well that maintaingin an image is a vital part of Canterlot noble society. Still, she turns away, as though trying to enjoy the party without him. "Look...I...understand...that you have...family to keep...happy. But..." She sighs, looking back to him and smiling faintly. "It's okay. I am...not mad, anymore. Just.."

16:13 GyroTech lets his posture droop as she turns away, staring at the ground. "You're right...I shouldn't of done that." His tail droops even further as she trails off, "disapointed," he finished full of dispondence. He can't bring himself to make eye contact with her. "You can go if you'd like. You don't have to stay here with me." ***

16:17 Lupine shakes her head, reaching out her wing to gently tilt his head, making him look into her pale blue eyes. "No...no, I'm not leaving. I...you're my friend, Sir Gyro Silverhoof." She smiles, her face going even softer than usual as she lets out just a tiny wisp of red mist, a sweet smell entering the unicorns' nostrils. "Please...try and enjoy youself..." As she says that, Gyro can feel an odd, uplifting sensation, as though he had just made everypony proud.

16:29 GyroTech doesn't resist the pressure of her wing, lifting it up and staring despondently into her eyes. He barely brightens up as she speaks, not quite sure that they're really how she feels. His sadness relaxes as she softens up. He fails to notice the breif wisp of mist only smelling a faint sweet scent before all his worry disaprear. Gyro is suddenly feeled with a sence of pride and confidence that fills him with energy. He shakes his head and his face lights up. "Your right, lets find some fun around here." He states, throwing a hoof around her shoulder. "Care to dance?" ***

16:33 Lupine blushes, but her smile gets just a bit brighter as she sees that her little blood spell is working. It doesn't help that doing this makes her lose energy, making her hungry. "Why...yes, of course..." She bows her head in a ladylike fashion, graciously accepting his hoof and leaning slightly closer. In the background, a small band of ponies starts to play a song, the leader picking up on the couple and deciding to set the mood.

16:42 GyroTech forcefully leads Lupine out to the center of the dance floor, where they're sure to be the center of attetnion, at least till more ponies joined in the dancing. Gyro begins a fairly standard ballroom dance, leading Lupine in a set of simples steps before growing into some more ornate twirls and motions. Unfortunatly, the unicorn isn't as graceful as he thinks he is. His moves are clunky and its like he has four left feet. ***

16:48 Lupine blushes, not because she was embarrassed of him, but because she knows that others will think of the poor colt. She thinks quickly, trying to guide him gently away from the center. On her part, she dances rather gracefully, letting her wings do a bit of a flair to draw their attention away from GyroTech and more onto her.

16:57 GyroTech continues to enjoy himself even as he's lead towards the side of the room gently. He ends up stepping on Lupines hooves more than once and nearly trips over his own on several occasion. By this point there are several more ponies dancing around, some pretty good, some not great. The musicians indicate that its time to switch partners and Gyro turns to join in on another couple next to him and borrow that mare. ***

17:00 Lupine gulps nervously as she is forced to give Gyro away, knowing that etiquette demands it. Still, it was nice that she might have a partner that Isn't causing her hooves to be used as a welcome mat. She sighs, turning to greet her new dancing partner, hoping that he wasn't a complete slob like that Moondust character.

17:08 GyroTech takes the hoof of the lady next to him and continues to dance vigorously, still just as bad as before. The mare he was with slowly let a look of frustration creep accross her face as the blue unicorn continued to be a spaz. She held out as long as she could before she became "Tired" and need to take a rest. Gryo drooped a bit as he suddenly found himself partnerless. He huffed and glanced jealously over at Lupine who seemed to be enjoying her new partner. ***

17:21 Lupine actually like this new stallion, a rather small unicorn with a shy smile and a rather dapper looking noble outfit. He has a silvery coat with a slate gray mane and tail, both well-groomed and trimmed. His citie mark is a quill with a few stars in the background. He has a slight stutter as he speaks, but he seems at least confident enough to speak up to the new mare. "O-o-oh! Why...h-h-hello, there!" He doesn't shy away from the mare, rather...fascinated by this cute little thing.

17:26 GyroTech walks over two the two and takes a stand near the edge of the crowd. He doesn't actually bug or barge in, but he does strain his ears and watch intently, tyring to listen in on what the two ponies were discussing. ***

17:29 < Dusk> (Want to take over for this character? His name is Gilded Quill, and he is actually a very nice stallion. I'm planning on keeping this one. Oh, and he is a scribe as well as a writer of fine literature.)

17:37 Lupine smiles back, keeping her fangs in check as she dances with the stallion. "I'm Lupine...and you are..?" She is still unsure about this stallion, but at least he isn't being all snooty.

17:37 Gilded_Quill smiles back,"I-I'm...Gilded Q-q-quill..." His dancing at least competent, though not very impressive. "P-pleasure to...m-meet you..." Despite his stutter, he doesn't seem all that worried being arounf Lupine. "S-such a fine song...don't you th-th-think? It's...v-very...slow, and r-r-relaxing." He gently guides Lupine towards the center, blushing as he sees Gyro staring at them. "I-i'm sorry...are you expecting to...r-return to somepony?" He seems a bit ashamed, not wanting to make the wrong impression to a couple.

17:45 GyroTech huffs to himself, still watching for a little bit before he turns and makes his way into the party towards the snack bar. THe unicorn contends himself with eating a few treats and looking around at all the mares. He settles for a pretty white unicorn with flowing cyan mane and walks over to her levitating a drink. "Lovely party isnt it?" He comments, his voice full of charm. ***

17:51 Jubilee seems a bit disinterested in Gyro, unimpressed by how he danced. "Well, the atmosphere is well enough, but I am concerned about some of the attendees...if you know what I mean." She idly sips from her drink, a mixed fruit drink. "Some ponies are just not meant to dance, my dear." Despite her initial coldness, she smiles faintly at Gyro Tech. "But enough about that. You are one Lady Silverhoofs' children, yes?"

17:51 Lupine giggles softly, leaning closer and shaking her head to the cute little stallion. "Oh...Oh, no. I am...actually...just a friend. But...I still hold him...dear to me. We have..." She blushes slightly. "Been through a lot...together."

18:03 Gilded_Quill lets some of his anxiety go at that revelation, but still seemed a little unsure. "I s-see. H-he wont' m-mind will he?" Regardless he begins to lead her through the motions of the current dance. His moves are well enough and he knows the dance by heart. As Lupine follows along he grows more confident. "I d-dont th-think I-ve seen you in C-Canterlot before miss Lupine? From w-where do you h-hail from?"

18:03 Gyro returns the smile heartily, completly missing the comentary that was directed at him. "Yes, I'm her only son." He answers happily. "I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you a friend of my mother's? miss..." he trails off waiting for her to supply her name.

18:12 Lupine smiles warmly, following along graciously through the dance. In her relief, she lets out a very tiny sigh as her hooves are no longer subjected to an impromptu workout. "Oh...I don't think so. He is...already spoken for." She leaves it at that, not wanting to talk too much about Naisol. "I am...actually...visiting family. My aunt live here...and I also came across my good friend. His mother...is actually the reason why...I am here." She moves in ever so slightly, feeling a bit more comfortable with this stallion. "I am...staying in Seaddle. But..that is a long story. What..about you? What exactly...brings you...here?"

18:12 Jubilee nods, setting down her drink on an empty tray before turning to GyroTech. "Ah...so YOU are the one that she speaks of. You are hrdly ever home." Her smile widens slightly. "I am Lady Jubilee. Coordinator of such gatherings as you see here. And advisor to the Grand Galloping Gala. I actually was the one who picked out the banners for the main dancing hall."

18:29 GyroTech gives her a reassuring nod. "Yep, I'm taking a little bit of a sabatical after finishing school before jumping into anything in yet. You know, just enjoying a little bit of traveling." He admits, hoping she'll aprove of his lie. Quickly changing the subject he says, "This is an amazing party you've managed to put together for my mother. So much more lively than some of the others. I hope you have a larger part in planning the Gala this year." He gives the mare a wink.

18:29 Gilded_Quill frowns, but jumps into his own story for the moment. "W-well, You see, I'm one of th-the royal s-scribes who sit in on meetings and t-take the minutes, but my real love is wr-writing. I've even m-managed to get a b-book p-published," he answers proudly, a grin returning to his face.. Though his tone passes no judgement, he does add after the fact, "Whats a lady like you doing out there? Isn't it 'out of the way'?" ***

18:43 Jubilee smiles, but the older mare is already suspecting something about his little lie. Still, she lets the subject pass, knowing better than to delve into silly rumors and gossip. "Hmmm...traveling, you say? It's good for a young colt to be abroad; too many have been satisfied with staying at home, relying on parents." Her smile become more genuine at his little compliment, giving him a very small curtsy. "You are too kind, my dear. Your mother deserves nothing less."

18:43 Lupine giggles, glad that this one isn't too pretentious about his achievements. "Oh...you are a scribe! That is...an honorable position. Very...important...to an open...government." Her smile fades at that last part, knowing that there is too much going on to make a transparent government possible. "As for...me being out there...I..." She blushes. "I am actually dealing with...family matters...in the Lunar Republic. I...thought it best...to stay away...for the sake of...harmony."

18:56 GyroTech lets out a small sigh of relief when she doesnt pursue the subject. "Oh, but I think you've gone beyond what would of been expected, its simply marvolous." The unicorn gives her a charming smile, growing a little more daring. "Surely you didn't come here alone did you?" He asks, as he notices no stallion by her side. He lets his tail brush up against hers gently.

18:56 Gilded_Quill begins to look a little troubled as she seems to have difficutly in finishing her sentence. "U-ummm, i-is something wr-wrong Lupine?" His voice has a hint of concern in it. He lets out a low "Oh..." looking at the ground embarrased about bringing up family trouble. ***

19:06 Lupine forces a smile, tilting his head back up and giving his cheek a gentle kiss. "Please...we still love each other. I just...have to be away. Please understand...Gilded..." She sighs, her wings shifting slightly forward to caress his cheek; Gilded is a good pony, one that is hard to find in such a crowd. "I am...glad you are caring...enough. A diamond...in the rough."

19:06 Jubilee lets out an indignant gasp, sidestepping away from Gyro and tsk'ing in admonishment. "For shame! I'll have you know that I am happily married." She brushes off her tail, before letting out a deep exhale, as though to calm herself down. "It is nice that you think I am worthy of attention, but I suggest you mind your manners. It would be a shame to let your mother know of your behavior."

19:18 GyroTech blushes a bright purple as his advances are rejected. "I...ummm...I-I'm sorry, I didn't know," he stampers out hastily, frowning at the prospect of ruining his mothers mood. He tries to draw Jubilee back into conversation, "How big of a role are you taking in the Gala this year?"

19:20 Gilded_Quill gives a supprised blush at the peck as the song ends, the dancers being given a momentary break before the next som. Gilded steps closer and gives her a tender hug. "You, t-too, are a wonderful and caring mare. Its good to have m-met you." He blushes even more furiously. From where Lupin was standing, she could see Gyro accross the room with a rather indignant looking mare. ***

19:27 Lupine blushes as she is hugged by this stranger, but...it felt so right. He was well-mannered, charming, and at showed some sense of respect for the mare. "Why...I hope this isn't...the last we meet." She hugs back, her wings venturing out and giving Gilded a gentle embrace. "I...I would like...for us to speak more. Perhaps...soon?"

19:28 Jubilee decides to let this slide, seeing how apologetic the poor colt is being. "Fair enough, my dear. You didn't know, and it's actually...rather flattering!" She smiles, grabbing a tiny appetizer from a tray. "I am actually going to assist with the catering, this year! One of the other mares had stepped down, and I was the most qualified."

19:37 GyroTech looks relieved as she forgives him, his complexure returning to normal colors. Letting his grin return as he takes another swig of his wine. "Well, if you get catering as good or better than what we've got here then its boud to be a hit. Good choice in wines too. An excellent wingate."

19:37 Gilded smiles happily at her as the wings close around him, the sensation comforting him quite a bit. "I-I would l-love to m-meet with you again as w-well Lupine, though must we p-part w-ways so s-soon? There's still m-much party left." He points out, but he loosens up his hug so that Lupine could go if she wanted. ***

19:45 Lupine lets out a sigh, turning her attention to Gyro and the new mare. She had been worried that he would make a fool of himelf, but..."Why...you're right, gentle Gilded." She smiles warmly, loosing her wings so that one of them was draped over the kind unicorn. "There is...much we can do...tonight. Perhaps...we can stay awhile longer." She carefully guides him over to the edge of the room, not wanting to dance, anymore. "Tell me...are you...familiar with...Children of Luna?"

19:45 Jubilee nods in agreement, actually impressed that Gyro knew what brand this fine wine was. "Ah, it is nice to find somepony with a refined palette. I was shocked to hear that the Silverhoof family even found this wine, much less have enough for a party!" She raises a bottle, a glint in her eyes. "This is very expensive, even by noble standards. Meant for private occasions, not...gatherings."

19:58 GyroTech gives a little nod. "My family has good taste in wines for sure. I think we might have some deal going on with them," he admits, "But I've never seen my parents get this much before...I wonder...Do you know if Celestia is attending? I know she was invited, and probably Luna as well." Gyro takes the bottle she was holding and pours himself a /large/ glass of wine.

19:58 Gilded_Quill let one arm fall from her shoulder as he followed closely with Lupine, smiling in delgiht. "I-I know of th-them, but n-not much about-t them" he admits, kicking a hoof at the ground. "Is it t-true that you all d-drink blood?" He asks in a hushed tone, slightly worried about mis stereotyping them. ***

20:10 Lupine giggles, but shakes her head at Gilded. For such a sensitive question, at least he was both honest and modest about it. "Well...that's actually...a legitimate question. We...do drink blood. But for most...it is a very...rare treat. And only between...willing ponies." She smiles, baring a fang to tease him. "I...on the other hoof...have a special...affinity for it. But...a good mare...must be gracious...about her tastes...don't you think?"

20:10 Jubilee laughs, though not unkindly. "Oh, you must have been here for a short while! Princess Celestia is away on business. Some sort of celebration in Ponyville, if memory serves..." She pauses, taping her chin with a hoof in thought. "Though the same cannot be said of Princess Luna. From what I heard, she is overseeing the training of a Lunar Guard outfit." She shudders slightly, knowing at least what the process entails. "To think...to be willingly transformed into...flying leeches?"

20:21 GyroTech sighs disapointedly, even with his mom being such an important advisor, he'd never met the princess first hoof. He does take quite an offense to her slur. He scowls in disaproval and remarks quite angrily, "The childeren of Luna are NOT flying leeches. They are a set of excellent ponies, not that you, little miss prissy, would know given that you've never ventured beyond these walls. Good day to you!" Gyro turns his tail towards her, preparing to storm off. Lupines spell made him quite confident that everyone would agree with him and admonish Jubilee.

20:21 Gilded_Quill smiles back as she doesn't take offence, listening to her explanation. He seems even more curious at her answer, Lupines charm workingo n him. "W-well...does it h-hurt?" He didn't seem to have any revulsion at the idea at all, but rather more intersted than anything. ***

20:27 Lupine smiles, leaning in and tenderly kissing his neck. She makes sure to cover the act with a wing, making it look like she was trying to brush something off of him. "Only...if I want it to. And...I never do." She pulls away, a very warm sensation creeping slowly across his neck. Her confidence is coming back to her, something that hasn't happened in some time. "I...I can show you...some time. With...your permission...of course."

20:27 Jubilee gasps in horror, her honor besmirched by a simple colt. "How...dare you! Just so you know, I am a VERY well-traveled mare. I...you..." She is at a loss for words, instead storming off to find the mare of the party....

20:35 GyroTech storms off in the other direction, still fuming from that encounter. He downs his glass of wine and head for the table to fill up another one, taking a look at all the ponies he passed, either looking for one that looked interesting and cute or to run accross Lupine.

20:35 Gilded_Quill giggles, blushing as her fangs scrape accross his neck, tickling his fur. He murrs a little, before reaching up and brushing away the trickle of blood with a hoof. "I-I would l-like th-that." he admits, stuttering even more than usual as he kicks a hoof at the ground. ***

20:42 Lupine smiles...closing her eyes as she discreetly lick her fang. "Mmmm...good..." She opens her eyes, still a pale blue. "Then...perhaps...someplace...private?" She seems to be quite keen on leaving, now, having bloos on her lips. "It...wont be...anything more...I assure you..." She pulls back from the stallion, restraining herself the best she can, while giving a tiny curtsy.

20:48 GyroTech feels his wine getting to him just a little bit when he spots a particular couple lingering in the back. He rushes over to them and gives the two a smile, ignoring the fact that he's interupting. "Hey Lupine. Enjoying yourself? and who's this?" He asks boisterously. Gyro then notices a familiar set of marks on Gildeds neck and gives Lupine a look, but doesnt say anything.

20:48 Gilded_Quill was just about to respond when that blue unicorn barged into the conversation, causing him to clam up. "I-I-I...I'm..." He trails off, looking ashamed like he'd been caught doing something that he wasn't supposed to do. ***

21:09 Lupine narrows her eyes as she watches GyroTech barge in on their nice little time, but she tries to keep her cool, smiling back as she gently drapes a comforting wing over her new friend. "This is...Gilded Quill. He is...a royal scribe...and a very...charming stallion."

21:20 GyroTech grins at the new pony. "I"m glad to see that Lupine has found herself a friend here," he says, slapping him on the shoulder. "And I see she's really taking a liking ot you," he notices, mischieveiously. Turning to lupine hs says, "See? Not all nobles are stuffy ponies, theres both me and him to break that mold.

21:20 Gilded_Quill leans into the wing, snuggling close to Lupine. He continues to blush as gyro speaks, not mustering the courage to actual speak up, letting Lupine do the talking.

21:20 Lady_Silverhoof spots Gyro. A little ways away, an angry looking miss Silverhoof was making her way over to the ponies with a smug looking Jubilee in tow. ***

21:22 Lupine smiles as she looks at the Lady Silverhoof, letting go of gilded out of a sense of some propriety. "Lady Silverhoof...I am...glad to see you again..." She gives a cursty, having no clue what was going on.

21:29 Jubilee lurks in the background, nodding in approval as Silverhoof confronts her son. She's obviously enjoying seeing him 'get what was coming to him.' ***

21:38 Gilded Quill gulps, hiding slightly behind Lupine as he watches the mare become quite cross. "L-Lupine...w-what's this? I thought that...h-he was just a friend..."

21:47 GyroTech 's ears flatten against his head as his mom begins to berate him. "I...I...I think you're being a bit rude," he contends turning his snout up at his mom, stepping a little closer to Jubilee. "Mrs Jubillee, may I introduce you to Lupine? Future heir to the throne of the 'Flying Leeches.'

21:47 Lady_Silverhoof opens and closes her mouth, aghast at how her son just seems to ignore her. Gyro gets most of his words out before she recovers, quickly slapping him accross the face. "How dare you use those words in Lupines presence."

21:47 Jubilee 's face contorts as she's introduced to Lupine, especially upon hearing of her status. She forces a weak smile, giving a courtsey, looking quite unsure of herself now. ***

21:56 Lupines ' mouth is agape, not sure how to respond to Gyro and his mannerisms. "I...you..." It takes only a moment before putting two and two together, narrowing her eyes at Jubilee. "I see. A...pleasure...Jubilee." She contains her anger, turning her attention to Lady Silverhoof. "Please...listen to me!" She doesn't raise her voice, but it becomes more forceful. "I...I know what had happened. Miss Jubilee...let her tongue slip. A...side effect...of your excellent libations...no doubt."

21:56 Gilded_Quill gasps as he sees the shameful smack across Gyro, "O-Oh! G-goodness me..." He was about to protest, but Lupine was already taking control of the situation, actually impressed by her...diplomacy. "L-Lupine..."

22:09 Lady_Silverhoof stills her anger for a moment as she hears Lupine force her way in. After giving her a second to respond, the mare considers the idea. Turning to her friend and guest, she gives her a simple "Well...?" wanting a response from Jubilee.

22:09 Jubilee on the other hoof, was pawing at the ground nervously as the attention of the group. Looking down, she says, defeatedly, "I...yes I had a slip of the tongue and used those words...Sorry." She doesn't sound 100% genuine, but she can't really refute it at this point.

22:09 Gyro on the other hoof rubbed at his sore cheek, licking it on the inside where his teeth caused a little bit of bleeding. He remains in silence as Lupin steps up to help him and Jubilee admits to what she did.

22:13 Lupine smiles, offering her hoof to Jubilee in a gesture of goodwill. Internally, however, she wanted nothing better than to make this mare squirm. "Apology...accepted."

22:13 Gilded_Quill straightens up, calmly walking up to Gyro and offering a clean kerchief. "Y-you're...bleeding, sir. P-perhaps you should...g-get that checked." He felt a bit sorry for the poor stallion, despite thinking that he may have went about this better.

22:22 Gyro 's mom then shuffles Miss Jubilee off after the hoof shake, scowling at her the entire time. A little ways away a the mares get into a heated discussion in hushed tones. Meanwhile Gyro takes the hankerchief and wipes down his bloodied snout. "Thanks Gilded, but I'll be fine. I've had worse scrapes." The unicorn seems to be in a bit of a down mood, the confidence spell not even enough to boost him for the time being. "And...thank you Lupine, I knew you'd understand...Though I really didn't expect her to drag my mother into this."

22:23 Lupine lets out a sigh of relief, waiting for the mares to be out of earshot before cursing under her breath. "Allech..." She mutters, half snarling it before turning to Gyro. "Thank you...for trying to...help. Though...she is right. You...should..." She cracks a smile, wrapping her hooves about Gyro and hugging him close. "I...I want out of here. It's...too stuffy"

22:24 Gilded_Quill shuffles about uncomfortably, clearly unsure once more of her relationship to this stallion. "U-um...I-I can leave...if you would like." He moves to turn away, before patting Gyro on the shoulder. "Y-you are lucky...with such a -mare."

Gyro gives her a long hug back and nuzzling against her for good measure. "Yes perhaps we should...I think this parties lasted long-" Gyro suddenly cuts of as Gilded pats him and speaks. "I...really she's just a friend. I'm attached to another...wanna tag along to a bar or something?" Gyro asks him, still not breaking off the hug. ***

22:41 Lupine grins, her fangs accidentally showing as she looks down at Gilded. "Yes...please come! I would...be happy...to be with good...ponies." She breaks the hug with Gyro, turning to look at the grey unicorn. "Or perhaps...something nicer?"

Treat her right. I don't wanna have to have to pull some strings to punish you." Gyro says, half playfully, a grin on his face. ***

22:54 GyroTech frowns as Lupine misinterprets him. "What...no thats not quite what I meant...I...I just can't be seen out in the town. After that little spit I'm sure I won't be missed by any in the mean time. Let me just grab my cloak . I've got something ratty enough to look like a peasant." Gyro huffs, hoping that they arn't gonna ditch him here. "And you better Gilded, she is a princess after all." ***

23:02 GyroTech giggles and walks ahead of Lupine as she nudges climbing his tower. As the climb the unicorn cracks up. "Decide that you wern't happy with that goody two shoes stallion afterall? You just can't help yourself with my charm huh?" The confidience spell was back in full and he was as obnoxious as ever about himself. Soon they reach his room and go inside. ***

23:08 GyroTech rolls his eyse, digging into his closet to find his hidden stash of clothes that he pays the servants off to wash. His tail swishes about excitedly as he can't wait to go to the baths with such a prety mare once again. ***

23:14 Lupine giggles, her own tail twitching as she wraps her wings about him tenderly. As much as she wanted him to come, she wanted time alone with her new stallion. "Hold still...my sweet..." She gently sinks her fangs into Gyro, pulling away from the closet as his suddenly limp body is dragged to the bed.

23:17 GyroTech does't acknowledge lupine as she puts a wing on him until she speaks. He tries to jerk up in confusion, her fangs barely registering in him as they clamp down. The stallion soon enters a haze, his eyes glossing over and pleasure running through his body. He tries to fight it off, but just can't. He's helpess as he's pulled accross the floor. ***
