16:51 Somnambulan Sphinx huffs and now has to go back to waiting for prey had to leave.

17:19 Gyro Feather flutters on in!

17:28 Somnambulan Sphinx wonders which of the two she should eat. Starburn, or a a more exotic prey, Gyro.

17:28 Gyro Feather is just sitting there, minding his own business

17:28 < Somnambulan Sphinx> Maybe both!

17:55 Somnambulan Sphinx is a hotel with vacancy... Care to rent the only room?

17:55 < Somnambulan Sphinx> :P

18:01 < Gyro Feather> Go ahead starburn!

18:06 < Somnambulan Sphinx> She's not in the mood to be eaten and not come back out.... So...

18:06 Somnambulan Sphinx turns to Gyro and grins wickedly.

18:09 < Bryce-bold> Tough luck, peacock.

18:10 Gyro Feather squawks as he feels himself fall under the gaze of the sphinx and glances all around him. "W-well...I'm not either! But...that kobold there probably is!"

18:30 < Bryce-bold> Psh, don't try and throw me under the Sphinx! I've no intention of going in there, or annoying her enough to warrant it!

19:02 < Somnambulan Sphinx> (Oops)

19:03 Somnambulan Sphinx begins to approach the Gryphon, purring deviously, "I'll tell you what... Answer a riddle and I won't eat you! Sound good?" She grinned evilly.

19:14 Gyro Feather frowns and starts to take a step backwards, away from teh sphinx at a steady rate, though he's slower than her own movements. "Uhhh...uhh....why doesnt he have to answer a riddle?"

19:17 Somnambulan Sphinx smiles, rapidly closing the distance between them, at which point she lays down, and stretches a paw around him, leaving him nowhere to back up, but into it. "Because I want bird today...."

19:24 Gyro Feather continues to back up regardless, shaking in a bit of fear as he feels himself press up into the rough pads that line her feet. He lets out a little squeak upon feeling it, and turns his head to see the large looming figure of her foot. "Uhh...but...lizard is tastier! really!@

19:30 < Somnambulan Sphinx> Suddenly the paw rotates and in the blink of an eye, it's rough pads are pressing him into the soft grass, pinning him to the ground and leaving him utterly helpless now as it's weight made escape all but impossible now. "Lazards are bland and tasteless... But feathers and fur hold a multitude of flavors...."
She leaned in closer, her hot breath beginning to wash over him as the muzzle got withing inches of his face. Wasting no time at all, her tongue slipped from her parting maw, dripping with thick drool that was soon smeared over him, drenching what wasn't pinned under the sweaty paw in thick sticky saliva.

19:36 Gyro Feather yelps as the winde is forced out of him underneath teh heavy pressure of the paws bearing down on his back. His wings flutter helplessly against the warm flesh, and his hands claw at the ground, but nothing he can do can extricate his hind legs from her grip. The grass itches up into his feathers, and a bit of dirt works its way between them. Then...as that hot breath blasts on top of him, he feels a chill of fear rush down his spine, made worse by the scent of hold stale meat hanging clearly on her breath. Her long tongue is enough to leave his front half entirely coated in the clear thick substance, which left trails between him and her tongue as it stripped his fruity and poultry flavor. "H-hey! I thought I got a riddle first!"

19:38 < Somnambulan Sphinx> (Oh no.... It's fresh.... I just ate Silverstream a few hours ago...)

19:40 < Gyro Feather> ( :B I'm sure teh two will be united eventually then~

19:48 Somnambulan Sphinx huffed, once again exhaling the foul scent of digestion over him and a sigh of annoyance. "Fine.... I did say you were allowed a riddle." Settling more onto her belly, some of the weight was lifted from her paw, allowing him some wriggle room, but with the jaws just feet away from him, escape was hardly advisable, let alone possible.
"I live with out a body. I hear without ears, speak without a mouth, to which the air gives birth alone..." She cooed. "What am I?"

19:54 Gyro Feather feels his feathers stand on end as he gets another fresh blast of the not so pleasant smell of her gullet, blasting a spray of drool across his body, which seeps down to start to pool among the grass. He sucks in a deep breath as some of the weight lifts, and tries to pull himself free regardless, not that he gets more than a few inches towards her jaws. The bird frowns at the riddle lets out a sigh in concentration. "Ummm Uhhhh...." He clenches his beak, thinking harder. "Maybe...the wind?"

20:13 Somnambulan Sphinx smiled and shook her head, "Not.... Even.... Close..." She grinned. The paw suddenly placed all it's weight on him again, forcing the air from his lungs in an instant. As she did so, her claws raked through the ground and dug into the dirt beside him as her toes closed painfully on one of her wings. Using the trapped wing, she lifted her paw and dangled him by it just a foot from the ground, allowing her tongue to slide under him. Like a toy, she just dangled him by his wing, leaving him to swing just inches from her razor shard claws curling from her toes, and just a foot from the tongue that waited patiently to claim him as a meal.

20:22 Gyro Feather gasps out his lungful of air as she pushes down on his body, forcing him deep enough into the grass that he's left an impression on the soil with his own body. His wings ache and press out at uncomfortable angles, and, as they're grasped and pulled, holding his weight, he lets out a squawk. His body twitches and kicks, throwing some of the saliva across the field as he's lifted above her tongue. Sharp tips prickled into his flesh, while down below he saw the sheen of saliva covering the tongue, bumpy with pointed taste buds. Gyro gulps and looks up at the sphinx. "Y-you can give me a second go right? Thats how these thigns work?"

20:29 Somnambulan Sphinx 's paw that had been suspending him above her tongue let go of him, dropping him onto the wet tongue with wet squelch and immediately after, her was practically tossed into her maw with a flick of the slimy muscle beneath him. While she certainly wasn't going to waste time answering his questions, she also had no need to. As the tongue receded into her jaws, and curled up and over his body, wrapping up from under him and curling over and around him, her answer was made clear. There was no escaping his fate. He'd agreed to the riddle and lost.
The price she'd chosen to place on their little wager was literally everything he had to give her. He was food.

20:36 Gyro Feather flaps his wings the instant that she lets him go, but that short drop of one foot is not nearly enough for him to catch air and propel himself up and away from teh tongue, and instead he sinks into the flesh of the soft muscle for merely a moment before he's cast inward with a dart of her tongue. That gryphon lets out a panicked yelp as he feels her force him inwards squelchign deeper into the tongue that lingers deeper inside. Hot drool falls down on his body now like rain as more of the liquid forms along the wet ridges of her maw. He only gets a moment to stand though, as the floor shifts beneat his feet and wraps him up like a snake. His feathers are left torn and ragged as he's pressed from cheek to cheek, sliding across sharp teeth with each motion. "H-hey! I-I didnt even want anything from you for that riddle!

20:47 Somnambulan Sphinx snickered, causing him to bounce alittle on her tongue. IT was true, he hadn't asked for anything in return, a mistake a lot of her prey's made as well. They were usually so petrified with being eaten they thought being allowed to live, to walk away from an encounter with the Sphinx, was the reward, but in reality, they could ask for anything. Her magic, though ancient, was as powerful as any alicorn's. though heavily limited in it's use. She couldn't bend the celestial bodies of the sky to her will, she couldn't bring oceans to their knees. But she could easily have given the little gryphon enough wealth to keep him happy for a lifetime.
Instead he chose nothing. And worse yet, he'd lost, and the price she commanded was heavy.
As she tossed him around in her maw, her teeth clipped a wing, crushing the feathers between them as the tongue wrapped around him, and ripped the caught feathers free of his wing. Even if by some miracle he did escape, she'd ripped him of his ability to fly with a simple lick of his body.

20:54 Gyro Feather rolls and topples around on the tongue as it moves beneaht him, shifting him around from cheek to cheek and dragging his wings through her teeth. His bones were like twigs beneath her motions, and he could feel them flexing painfully beneath her steady playful assault. As the primary feathers are pulled from his flesh, a hot irony trickly of blood lowly leaks out of his wings, adding to his already lovely flavor. Each breath he takes inside of there is difficult, either wet and full of liquid which he's forced to cough back out, or stiflingly hot and humid, smelling of the death beyond. He kept trying to make his way out of her mouth thyrough the teeth at teh front and her open lips, but the tongue always kept him at bay.

21:02 Somnambulan Sphinx , Annoyed with his constant squirming, she manuevered him under her tongue, using the powerful muscles to press him into the soft flesh. Suddenly movement was near impossible as everything seemed to squeeze all around him at once, holding him there, waiting patiently for him to tire himself out. As a cat, she was more than patient enough, still he was annoying her. His constant struggles made keeping him in the middle of her maw difficult. He kept trying to squeeze between her teeth, risking being bitten in half just for a chance to pry her lips open and escape. Under her tongue though, that wasn't happening.

21:17 Gyro Feather fights against the tongue, but suddenly instead finds himself sandwiched beneath the bottom of her maw and the heavy muscular ceiling of her tongue, which presses down against him like a form fitting blanket. His body squelches as drool rushes past his feathers and fur, left in a puddle of the hot mucously liquid. His head is only barely above the surface of the pool, which laps up over the tongue with his motions, giving the sphinx a taste of his body. This taste starts to get fairly salty too as the heat from her body leaves him sweating, and slowly over the course of many minutes he's slowly starting to wear down to her assault.

21:27 Somnambulan Sphinx , Holding him there until her finally stopped squirming, her tongue curled upon itself, sharp barbs making it easy to scoop his limp from out from under it. She was still mad at him though and felt her deserved to be punished further. Angling his body, her teeth suddenly snapped together on his tail feathers, gripping them as the tongue began pressing against him, ripping them all out with little more than a flick of the muscle that had just spent the last five minutes assaulting him.

21:34 Gyro Feather is breathing quite heavily by the end of his ordeal as the heat, humidity, and powerful tongue had all worked together to sap his strength, though...he still puts up a token struggles as he's retrieved from his living coffin. He scrambles weakly on the tongue, when suddenly the teeth clench down on his tail, yanking out his three pretty tail feathers and drawing a pained yelp from the poor bird grapped within. More of his warm blood leaks out over the muscle, even after the first bit had stopped, while he wiggles pathetically on her rasping tongue.

21:44 Somnambulan Sphinx , Throughtly pleased with his weak whimpers and wriggles, her tongue returns to work, raking over him, and tasting every inch of his body. Sharp spines raked at his skin and tore at his feathers, each lick ripping more and more of his feathers free and spilling alittle bit more of his blood, adding to his already delicious and complex flavor of her prey. With each raking pass over his body though, her hunger grew until eventually, she couldn't keep him in her maw any longer. She had to swallow, to quell her growling stomach echoing up from her gullet.
Lifting her tongue, the barbs, all pointing toward her throat, offered him nothing by a slick slimy surface to slide upon as she tilted her head back, eager to claim him as food.

21:45 Solardancer decides to approach the feeding sphinx in a relaxed manner, sitting nearby with a gentle smile. Also waves to Silver.

21:51 Gyro Feather fights against the tongue as best as he can, raking his claws across the taste buds and generally being a minor nuisance, but between his exhaustion and the constantly shifting floors and curling tongue pressing onto him, he's unable to put up too much of an effort. His skin feels like its being rubbed raw by the rasping tastebuds, while tufts of oily downy feathers are ripped from the gryphon's body, revealing new pinpricks of blood that flow down over the warm muscle. Unfortuntely for him, the barbs lay flat towards the throat, and as she tilts her head backwards, he's drawn across the hot muscle much like a skiier flowing down hill, until his beak and claws squelch at the back of his throat. "N-no! PLease!"

22:06 Somnambulan Sphinx , Eager to send him down, the tongue lifts higher and Gravity shift. While once horizontal, her lifting head seemed to tilt his world around him, shifting gravity until the throat closed on his haunches, crushing his legs together and with the tongue pushing on his upper body, her was hopelessly forced into the gullet with a deafening, ringing GLK.
Powerful muscles squeezed tightly at his body, bending the fail hollow bones of his wings as they squeezed him tighter and tight, further from the tongue and the outside world and closer to the hellish stomach that eagerly growled in anticipation of its second meal of the day.

22:15 Gyro Feather feels the tongue rise up behind him as it curls backwards, finishing the loud gulp that rings out in his ears as she takes the swallow. The savage viceral sensation of the hot walls of her gullet gripping his body ripple over hsi form, propelling down the muscular tube. He'd make hardly any visible bulge inside of her too as he moves down the tight tunnel. Drool splashes into his face and squelches through his feathers, while the putrid scent of her gurgling stomach starts to fill his nostrils with the scent of where he'll soon be in. Both wings and legs snap under the rolling pressures, drawing out a muffled pained cry from the poor bird.

22:34 Somnambulan Sphinx , Purring to herself, she licked her lips and sat on her haunches, enjoying the sensation of a squirming prey's desperate, but hopeless struggle for survival. Whilst some meal made it down intact, most pegasi and gryphons did not. Their frail bones, meant to be light enough for flight, were never strong enough to withstand the onslaught of her gullet's peristalsis. When she heard the scream of pain, muffled though it was, she knew what had happened to him. In the end though it would work to his benefit, the agonizing pain of his broken limbs would hopefully send him into shock, leaving him unable to feel the pain of her acids striping him of his fur and feather before dissolving his skin and meat beneath.
Whether he felt it or not, she didn't care. He was food now for her. She'd done her part and now it was his turn, and lucky for him, all he needed to do was rest whilst her body did all the work.
As the seconds ticked on, he finally made the bend in her esophgus, where he was no longer traveling down her throat, but now though her body. The loud beating of her excited heart marked he'd entered her chest as it it faded just as quickly, the distance to his grave grew short. Pressing against his broken legs, the ring that marked the entrance of his tomb, refused to yield against the now flimsy, shattered bones of his legs. Instead the muscles just crammed his legs further against the ring until finally, his body pushed it open, allowing the crushing ring to slip over his barrel and crush his wings next, catching them awkwardly as he was forced though it.

22:45 Gyro Feather screams out in further pain as his limp legs meet the entrance to her stomach and fold back on themselves, pressing into his sparsely feathered chestas pain rushes through his body. Its not utnil his beak meets the powerful muscles that they finally relax, squeezing over him as he's forced through the ring, where instantly the blast of thick meaty vile chyme fills his lungs with its odor, leaving him gasping and gagging in the air. The fumes contain enough acids to burn at his lungs and his nasal passages with a steady uncomfortable tingle. His wings give another crack as they push inside, before he then splashes down into the liquid below. The thick liquid was certainly pretty oily with the dissolved fats of whatever the sphinx had eaten before him, yet there was no chunkyness or sighs of the prey. The acid sears at his open wounds that dot his body where his feathers had been rended off, and his sensitive tailhole fairs no better.

22:59 Somnambulan Sphinx 's stomach accepts him. Though not immediately obvious, they was one sign of a meal she'd just eaten hours before. Though it was hard to tell how long ago she eaten, the smell of blood still lingering in the air told him it wasn't too long ago. As the stomach churned around him, something sharp was suddenly pressed into his back, slicing easily into his skin before lodging there thanks to the churning walls around him. Though hard to tell in the darkness, it's shape was unmistakable, a young Hippogryphs beak that had proven quite resilient to the predator's acids. Though with fresh acids slowly being secreted from the walls of his fleshy prison, is was rather unlikely it would survive a second round of digestion.
While the Hippogryph had been lucky, the griffon was not. Having just eaten hours ago, the acids hadn't had time to dilute with her saliva, instead he was dumped into a roiling, oily pit of chyme that was still quite potent, which immediately stung deep as it drenched his body and seemed to cling to his fur, quickly causing it to fall out by the clumpfuls withing just a few minutes of it's stinging agony.

23:15 Gyro Feather was already having a rather awful time of it all as the stomach walls squeeze the mixture against his body, where he feels it already searing at his flesh. The bird bellows out in pain as his gashes start to expand into sores that cover his body like little painful pock marks, exposing the flesh inside. As the beak digsinto his spine, driving in a deep hole right next to it, he lets out a howl, where acid rushes in to the exposed gash. THe liquids splash up over his beak, forcing him to take a deep draught of the stinging sour muck in order to clear his beak for another breath of air, but already he was having trouble keeping alive in the acrid hell hole of her belly. He couldnt swim with his broken legs, meaning every moment threatened to cause a wave that sends him crashing down below the surface and unable to return for a breath.

23:42 Gyro Feather fights as hard as he can in the gut, as feeble as that is, though his body is rapidly deteriorating under the assualt of those deadly juices. Muscles give way to bones in his extremities, and even as the pain subsides from nerve damage, he's left feeling the phantom pain from limbs that once were there, but are now getting rendered away into liquid. The juices help to sear his wounds shut, preventing him from bleeding too much blood. He's left, however, at the mercy of the sloshing stomach as the juices careen around, growing ever deeper. He's buffeted against the walls, cracking further bones until finally he sinks below the surface. THere he still fights ever more for air, but he cant claw his way to the surface. His final breath is a rush of caustic fluid that fills his lungs, working to dissolve him from the inside out as he finally passes on.

23:53 < Somnambulan Sphinx> (Twas fun, but I need to head off to sleep.)

00:00 Somnambulan Sphinx , With her meal finally settled, the predator rolled on her side and began to purr. Her massive tail sweeping against the ground until it practically slammed into Solardancer. Snapping her head up, she turned her attention to the unicorn and with a nod to her belly, she demanded he get to work on massaging it. A low growl even informing him that it wasn't a suggestion of a choice, but rather a demand.
Laying her head back down, she slowly returned to purring, her tail once again resuming it's idle swishing across the ground as she relaxed, and slowly drifted off to sleep, leaving the unicorn to massage her whislt she slept, and the griffen to finish his digesting.
