Getting Aquainted with a Larva

10:00 GyroTech feels his mood turn sour as he approaches the changling. Its as if all the happiness in life is escaping from him. He shivers in her(?) presence, having heard about the happenings in the castle not too long ago.

10:01 Kathreptis blinks at him.

10:02 GyroTech stutters out "W-w-what is-s a th-tying like y-you d-d-doing here?"

10:03 Kathreptis blinks more at him. "Nothing? Why?"

10:04 GyroTech manages to calm himself down well enough to stop the stuttering, but is still visibly shivering. "Why don't you go back to the Everfree forest you like you belong monster," he says, his voice shaking a little.

10:19 GyroTech finally completely relaxes, deciding that she doesn't seem to mean any harm. "Is it true that you can change form at will? Can I see?"

10:25 GyroTech 's jaw drops in amazement. He slowly stalks around her examining the copy quite thoroughly. "Wow, thats pretty impressive." He pauses for a minute, the gears whirring in his head. "Can you do other creatures like griffons or dragons?"

10:28 GyroTech spots his changling friend and walks up to her. "Hows it going, I saw you yesterday, but you were sleeping at the time and I didn't want to wake you. I'm sorry for scaring you off last time with all my requests, I was just curious."

10:34 GyroTech takes the opportunity to inspect her carapace, running a hoof along the shell, and brushing her wings, noting the differences between her and ponies.

10:42 GyroTech gives her a sympathetic look. "Oh?" he says before catching himself, deciding not to satisfy his curiosity, lest he irritate the changling.

10:48 GyroTech shakes himself, "Uhh ya, sorry, I just got a little lost in thought."

10:50 GyroTech says, "See I was thinking, you don't seem to be an evil changling and you don't have a hive, and the changelings who were evil had a hive and a queen, so maybe its the hive and queen that cause changelings to be evil."

10:51 Kathreptis shrugs. "I honestly don't know."

10:52 GyroTech chuckles to himself, "Alright enough pestering you, I'm getting hungry, how bout I treat you to dinner."

10:54 GyroTech begins to lead her towards the town. "Excellent, just follow me then. You may, however, want to assume a different shape or the other ponies in the town may act just like I did on our first encounter."

10:56 GyroTech looks back after hearing the change, and smiles. "Well thats a pretty little mare. Is she one of your own design or a copy of somepony else. Can changelings even take a custom form?"

10:58 GyroTech trots along to one of the outside diners. Its a beautiful day after all. He offers Kathreptis a seat before taking his own.

11:00 GyroTech receives a menu from the waiter and looks it over.

11:04 GyroTech flags down a waiter so that they can place their orders.

11:10 GyroTech gives her a queer glance as the waiter trots off. "I thought I was treating you to dinner? Are you not hungry?"

11:12 GyroTech shushes her, looking around to see if anyone else heard her. "Well I mean, ya, but I didnt know that was all you needed," he says in a hushed tone.

11:14 GyroTech nods. "Ok" At that moment the waiter delivers a plate full of grilled veggies and a margarita for the stallion, and a glass of water for the mare. Gyro sips his drink and begins to eat his veggies. Her not eating does make him feel less like a gentlecolt, but he tries to put that aside.

11:15 Kathreptis happily sips her water, smiling at GyroTech.

11:16 GyroTech finishes his first drink and orders a second still working on his plate.

11:17 GyroTech downs his second drink, and finishes his plate, throwing a couple bits on the table for the meal. He gets up unsteadily, and says, "You want to come back to my house with me Kath?"

11:19 GyroTech leads her to a small single story cottage on the edge of town with a rather large work shed. He opens the door to reveal a simply decorated home and invites her inside.

11:20 Kathreptis smiles and walks inside. "Nice place."

11:21 GyroTech laughs and sways over to the couch, plopping down on it, leaving Kathreptis a space next to him, close to his head. "I'm glad you think so, please take a seat." He indicates to the spot next to him.

11:25 GyroTech turns to her and asks "Can I get you anything to drink? I'm going to get myself some wine." He gets up and starts towards the kitchen.

11:29 GyroTech returns to the couch with two glasses. It seems he changed his mind and is instead sipping on some orange juice, deciding not to drink alone. He levitates the other cup to the table in front of her.

11:30 Kathreptis giggles and picks up the drink, sipping at it.

11:31 GyroTech lays his head on Kathreptis snuggling closer on the couch.
