Meeting Your Friend's Lady

00:52 Nadia Martin fluttered into the bar, ordering a glass of vodka to steadily sip on

00:58 Gyro Feather makes his way into the bar with a chirp, and steadily makes his way across the room. He watches the dragon warily, but once he's certain the other is distracted he moves to the bar. Sitting down, he orders a fruity martini, without yet noticing he's sat down next to another bird.

01:03 Nadia Martin had already finished her first glass of vodka when Gyro sat down next to her. When she finally noticed him, she gave him a friendly smile. "Gyro, I didn't see you come in! It's been quite a while, hasn't it?" she said cheerfully, feeling just a bit tipsy from her drink.

01:05 Gyro Feather perks up as he hears a familiar voice and meets her eyes. He tilts his head to the side, trying desperately hard to place her. After a moment of though he says, "I suppose it has...your Skylar's friend right?" He asks, with some trepidation as he taps a claw down on the table. The gryphon takes another sip of the drink and then gestures at the bartender. "Another for the lovely lady."

01:11 Nadia Martin nodded, still smiling. "That's me! I guess you don't really remember, but I'm Nadia," she said, reaching out a hand to the other avian. "I know you and Skylar have spent a fair bit of time together, and any friend of Skylar's is a friend of mine!" she said before taking the second glass and beginning to sip. "Thanks for the drink, by the way."

01:16 Gyro Feather returns her smile, and shakes her hand with his talon, though that smile becomes a bit of a frown soon after. "Well...we were friends...had you not heard? Cause its hard to be friends with something coating the sewers...some dragon in here gulped her last week...and wellI would have helped but he'd have gotten me too." The gryphon says in a far more lighthearted tone than fit the situation, but well, things happened around here, and you learned not to get too attached. "And, you're welcome, I do hope you enjoy it."

01:21 Nadia Martin sighed softly, looking a bit disappointed at learning the fate of her lover. "Oh, I hadn't heard about that, no... I just assumed she was busy with other things. Still, it's good that someone was able to get some good use out of her," she said with a bit of cheer, though she couldn't quite bring herself to smile. "It's nice that she was able to end that way, I'm just going to miss her a whole lot..."

01:24 Gyro Feather jostles her drink as he slides it a bit closer to the formel and says, "here, drink, it'll help sooth the troubles away. That'll dull the thoughts almost as much as a good belly, though its far more reversible." The gryphon chuckles at his joke and then takes another long swig of his drink, finishing off the fruity concotion before gesturing to the bartender for more. "Anyways, what brings you here this evening, my dear?"

01:27 A Fox Named Box took note of the two feather heads as he made his way to his booth. One of them looked familiar, and the other familiar in the sense of seeing them around. Still, they looked busy and the bar looked empty, which was always a recipe for free drinks.

01:27 Nadia Martin finishes off her second glass, then leans up against the bar. She chuckles at the joke as well, then shrugs. "Oh, I'm just here to watch the folks today. It's always a lot of fun seeing people gradually disappear into someone else's belly, don't you think? It's a nice environment to meet new folks!"

01:32 Gyro Feather nods his head at Nadia and goes for his second drink which seem sot have appeared while he was not paying attention. He tilts the blue liquid into his beak, and savors it, before then adding, "Yes, it is interesting to see who manages to make it long term, and who just ends up as a treat...though I must confess it is even more fun snagging the occasional meal oneself."

01:35 Nadia Martin looks a bit surprised by this. "Really, you manage to find some prey here? I didn't know you ate people yourself! Do you have a favorite species that you like to eat?" she asked curiously.

01:41 Gyro Feather puffs his chest up proudly and offers the falcon a glare over the top of his beak. "What, do you think me too cute to manage to get anything down in here? I've had plenty of opportunities. While...I do have a soft spot for scalies, as they're so lovely and smooth going down...well..." The gryphon trails off and grins open beaked at her, "I think my favorite are things with feathers. They tickle on the way down."

01:45 Nadia Martin laughs cheerfully as she put her arm around the gryphon. "I mean, I always thought you were just too nice to ever totally devour someone, but I guess you never really know who's a predator these days!" she said before sipping on the start of her third drink. "I do have to agree with you about the birds, though. Part of me had always wanted to eat Skylar. It's a shame we're a bit rarer than mammals."

01:55 Gyro Feather considers that thought and then tilts his head to the side. "Eat skylar, you? And here I'd got some sort of inkling that you two were very close." The gryphon taps his wing against Nadia's shoulder and grins up at her. "And I can be just as mean as anyone else here when I'm hungry...or perhaps when I'm feeling slighted." The gryphon slips his beak a little closer to hers, and gives a playful lick across hers.

And here I'd got some sort of inkling that you two were very close." The gryphon taps his wing against Nadia's shoulder and grins up at her. "And I can be just as mean as anyone else here when I'm hungry...or perhaps when I'm feeling slighted." The gryphon slips his beak a little closer to hers, and gives a playful lick across hers.

02:28 Nadia Martin chuckles and hits the gryphon playfully. "I was very close with Skylar! It's just that... when you're so in love with someone and so attracted to them, sometimes you also start thinking about them in a predatory way, you know? It's just how nature works, I guess," she said with a shrug. "Well, I hope you're not hungry now! I seem to be the main bird here right now!" she joked, swaying a bit from the effects of the alcohol.

02:33 Gyro Feather squawks in a bit of startle from the smack upon his shoulder and pulls away from her beak, though he's still smacking his mouth. "You know....I think I know what you mean. A fair proportion of those I've found myself takign home have well, gotten to stay longer than they intended, before earnign themselves a view of the internal plumbing. " Gyro chuckles and shuffles his feathers. "And well...I probably could go for a bite to eat. I imagine you'd be quite delectable~"
