21:32 GyroFeather spies an otter at a pond he very much considers in his territory. The large gryphon swoops down and lands between the otter and the shore. "You there," what are you doing in my pond?" He demands with a light chirpy voice, as he attempts to carry an air of seriosness in it.
21:37 Bryce Daeless sits up, scrubbing at his face with an arm and blinks over at the tiercel as he stands, wearing just a pair of tight swimming trunks. "Hello? This yours?" he says, gesturing down at it. "I was just having a wash. I always prefer to wash outside in cool water, and this seemed live a convenient place for it." He wades towards the edge, intending to go for the boardshorts sitting there, and pulls a pair of goggles up from his eyes to rest against his forehead.
21:41 GyroFeather stands rather proudly there, a bright purple feathered and blue furred gryphon with a swishing peacock feathered tail.He narrows his eyes at the otter's explanation and then reaches over to swipe the shorts and pull them away from the edge. "Sure thats all you were doing...You know I claim all the fish in this pond too right? If I were to cut you open, you sure I wouldnt find a single scale or bone inside of your belly?"
21:47 Bryce Daeless reaches for his shorts, and scowls up at the proud, pompous looking creature as they're pulled away from him. "All right, I'm sure your claim is nice and official and I wouldn't find anything...fishy about it if I went looking. But no, I've not touched any fish. And if you want to cut me open you can try, but I wouldn't recommend it."
21:54 GyroFeather sits back on his haunches and crosses his talons across his chest. "I dont believe you. But....I can forgive your tresspasses if you dive back into the water and pull me out a couple large salmon. A bird does get hungry defending his claims after all," the gryphon states, peering hard at the smaller otter. Gyro wasnt particularly in the mood to expend the energy or get himself wet to hunt his fish.
21:59 Bryce Daeless pulls himself out of the water and peers at the tiercel, water sloughing off his oiled, waterproof fur as he crosses his arms. "'You'll forgive my trespasses'? How gracious of you," he deadpans. "Don't yo folk have free roaming laws around here? Right to be on land for recreation and all such?"
22:07 GyroFeather ruffles his feathers and puffs his chest up. His wings half extend as he makes himself bigger to intimidate the other creature. "Free roaming laws? A gryphon is master of his own territory and lesser beings would do nice to he'd their whims while they're traveling through. Its rather unbecoming to traverse without obtaining permission."
22:14 Bryce Daeless doesn't seem impressed by the grand words or the half-spread wings and puffing plumage, which only serve to make Gyro look fluffy, rather than intimidating. "Right then, as you say. I won't dirty your pond with my presence again. And you can keep the shorts, if you want, I'll find another pair." He turns, making to walk around the pond in the other direction.
22:20 GyroFeather lets out a loud growl as Bryce turns to walk away from him. He then springs forward and tackles the otter to the ground, digging his claws into his shoulders. He can feel the damp fur bleeding into his feathers. "Right...well I'm a hungry bird and I consider everything in here my property. If you wont get me fish...then I'll have to fill my belly otherwise."
22:27 Bryce Daeless lets out a soft cry, more an explosion of air than anything else, as the gryphon hits his back. The otter may be taller than him, but Gyro has more mass behind him, and it's easy enough for the otter to be bowled over and pinned down. He turns his head to glare up at his attacker. "Mmph... All right, all right, you win..." he grumbles, less out of any fear of actually getting eaten by the gryphon, more because it seems to be the only way this stuck-up creature would let him leave. "I'll catch you a couple of fish, if you're going to throw a fit about it..."
22:31 GyroFeather digs his talons into the otters back and lets out a chirp of success as those sweet words come from his future prey's mouth. After his insolence, the bird still had in mind to eat the otter, but a little bit of an appetizer never hurt. Grinning proudly down at Bryce, he leans down and licks and nibbles at one of his ears, letting the taste tickle across his tongue. "Hmmm....but what if I'm more in the mood for otter now?" He asks, before displaying his open maw at the creature and breifly letting it clasp around his snout. Hot fishy breath wafts over his face.
22:35 Bryce Daeless grimace, turning his head away, first from the nibble at his ear and then at the beak that gapes in front of him and takes his snout into it. He manages to pull himself out and gasps down some fresher air. "Th-then I'd say that would be a stupid mood, because I'd do a lot more damage to you than a couple of fish would, even if you did manage to get me in the end..."
22:39 GyroFeather rolls his eyes down at the otter, and then hops off of his back. "I think that fish is tastier than you are anyways. That bath didnt do much for you." He says, keeping both eyes fixed on the creature. Waving a talon towards the pond, he ads, "Still...hury up then. I've been known to dine on less tasty things should I get too hungry."
22:43 Bryce Daeless wipes the drool from his nose as he rolls to his feet, and pulls his goggles back down over his eyes again. "Jokes on you, pretty boy, it's your water after all..." He turns away, wading into the shallows at the edge. "Come on, even I'm taller than you, how threatening can you be?" he adds, as a parting shot, before diving down under the surface. There's some vague sense of activity, obscured by the water, and after a few moments he appears at the far end grasping a pair of flopping fish tight against his body.
21:04 GyroFeather watches as the otter disappears down underneath the surface and taps a claw down on the ground impateintly. "Oh I'll show you exactly how threatening I can be..." he mutters in irritation as the otter vanishes. Soon his meal reappears with appetizers as he claws to the surface. "Oh good, you can just set those down right here~" He says, and then opens his beak, pointing a talon down his gaping maw.
