22:47 Heremes gryphonsprawls out along a couch.
22:53 GyroFeather takes interest in Hermes, likes meeting new gryphs
23:03 GyroFeather shuffles up to Hermes and then takes a perch on the arm of the couch, seeing as the other was taking up the actual cushioned part.
23:05 Heremes was taking up most of the couch and one arm, with his beak and head resting on it. The other arm by his feet wasn't occupied however. He flexes his toes and rumbles, "Hey you," anyway.
23:10 GyroFeather takes a seat at his paws and waves a golden claw down at the other gryphon. "Hey there~ I'm gyro~" He purrs. The little purple and blue gryphon stands about half the height of the sprawled creature.
23:16 Heremes rumbles a low chuckle and flicks his ears, finally rolling over onto his back to more easily study Gyro without straining his neck so much. "Well, hello to you too. Not often one meets other gryphons, let alone others of a smaller persuasion. Call me Heremes."
23:19 GyroFeather nods down at the gryphon with a grin at the edges of his beak. "Nice to meet you Hermes," he chirps and then hops forward, careful to straddle the legs instead of stepping upon them. His peacock feathered tail tuft darts about behind him. "I cant say I've met any smaller than me yet."
23:25 Heremes hehs and shrugs, straightening out his shirt. "Heh, not many around no. Especially smaller ones who go around on all fours. Two-leggers like me seem marginally more common. Still, size can be manipulated if it's ever required for any reason." Green eyes study Gyro some more and he rumbles, "Interesting colors you have there. Is that by choice or simply happenstance?"
23:31 GyroFeather sits his rump down on Hermes's belly and nods at him. He gives a little shrug at the question, looking back at him with his own set of green eyes. "These are the colors I've always had...though perhaps not the form. I used to be a rather majestic unicorn before I was cursed into this...but I'm adjusting."
23:38 Heremes earflickers and then they perk forwards, mention of a curse catching his interest. "A curse, eh? Hrrrrm. Those can be quite tricky things to deal with indeed." Tailflicking absently, he reaches up with a taloned hand to lightly poke a clawtip in amongst Gyro's purple feathers, brushing the back of it along a feather. "Unicorn's aren't what I'd normally have called common, either. Getting adjusted to being a gryphon can take some time. Even after several hundred years I can't say I'm always comfortable in every situation. Who was responsible for your curse?"
23:45 GyroFeather gives a nod and a sigh as he he leans forward to the the talon which gently traces up along the crest that sat where his horn used to be. "Yes...its odd...getting used to these wings and being cut off from my normal magics...I dont like it, but no spell so far has brought me back. A powerful shaman cursed me...to teach me a lesson or something I guess...but I cant say I paid much attention to what he had said at the time...and I haven't found him since. I didnt realize he was speaking more than nonsense until the next day when i woke up like this..."
23:52 Heremes snickers, half to himself. "Wings. Wings. They truly are an encumberance. They look pretty enough but until you're forced to wear them for eternity, you learn that they can be a significant hindrance." He sighs, introspectively dwelling on past problems whilst stroking that feather of Gyro's, although soon enough pays attention to the other gryph again. "I can't say I have a real solution to curses. My expertise is in alchemical creations more than pure magic. Pure magic is quite ... painful, so I'll stick with my reagents."
23:58 Heremes has found wings can be very problematic when it comes to clothes ...
23:58 GyroFeather leans down into the gentle stroking, almost like preening from a friend. "Wings I think are well enough...I'll probably even miss them once I find myself back in my normal body...And not even potions have given me much help. Its as if the curse counteracts anything meant to restore me to my own body....It doesnt, however, prevent other alchemical transmutations. But...I dont expect a random gryphon to have the answers anyways."
00:06 Heremes earflicks and rustles his feathers. He shrugs absently, his white wings rustling beneath his back. "Try looking like a human and still having wings. Thankfully they can be made small but my curse apparently is being unable to be rid of them. It can make a life of anonymity difficult. As for potions, perhaps those were never strong enough to be permanent. Who can say? All I'm thankful for is that there's worse things to be, than a supposedly mythical beast. We don't look bad, after all."
00:12 GyroFeather half fans out his wings and gives them a little rustle. "I suppose that there are worse things to be...at least I didnt trade my horn and magic for nothing." He puffs up his chest proudly as if displaying his beauty. "Why do you strive so hard to shed it and be a hairless two legged then?"
00:17 Heremes laughs. "Because I live among them primarily. Past experience has taught me to not underestimate their determination if they discover something out of the ordinary in their midst. Captivity or death and destruction of my work is a big hindrance to enjoying life. So you learn to keep a low profile when among them." He grins again suddenly. "Besides, 'hairless two legged' as you put it is what I'd previously been most used to, before this."
00:22 GyroFeather plays a talon across his beak and nods at the other gryphon. "I suppose one might want to get back to what they know...even if they are in a superior form...It sounds like a lot of work honestly..." The brightly colored gryphon gives a yawn and then without asking allows himself to settle all the way down on top of Hermes, laying his head upon his chest. "I'd much rather be lazy."
00:28 Heremes grunts, looking slightly to the side and ears flatted back. "Superior form, nothing. I'd give everything to be able to go back, to truly be able to go back, but Zeus has decreed otherwise." Tail flicking in annoyance, he was however distracted from such by Gyro settling down, causing him to snort then chuckle at the other gryph. "Heh. If you prefer I could get up and let you have the couch. Whilst laziness is a pleasant indulgence, it's not very conducive to solving a problem."
00:33 GyroFeather gives a sigh and then stretches out, getting comfortable on the other gryphon. "Oh cmon...embrace your cat side..." he says with a yawn. He settles down a little more, and rather quickly ends up drifting off to sleep on the gryphon's warm fluffy chest.
