Gyro is the type of stallion who gives the ladies the interest they crave with charming humor and a confidence, thriving on the attention that he receives in return.
Handy
With magic, Gyro is quite the craftspony, able to heat up metals and bend them into elegant shapes for both artistic purposes, and to put together the machinery he builds.
Grandiose
Having grown up amongst nobility, Gyro has maintained some of that attitude, feeling that he is above other ponies, and doubly so for the other species he encounters.
Gyro ‘Tech’ Silverhoof grew up among one of the noble unicorn houses in Canterlot, and that’s where many of his biases and habits come out of, as much as he’d like to deny it. Still, growing up he very much hated the stuffy rules that made up the social evets that he was expected to attend as a part of this culture. When he got the opportunity, he flew the nest and headed to a more remote town of Saddle to start his own workshop far away from his parents. This was an endeavor they were far too happy to fund to save future embarrassment, allowing him to go off while they claimed he was working as an important dignitary.
Nobility
Gyro may have flown the coup on the Canterlot nobility, but that doesn’t mean that he’s made a full personality 180. Years of living among them has rubbed off on his attitude, and so he regards unicorns as the best ponies, and nonponies as inferior even still. While he pretty much spends all his time among the commoners, he has a slight air of arrogance when he’s not actively trying to impress anyone. He’s accustomed to the finer things in life, and tries his best not to settle for merely adequate, preferring to treat his friends to such things rather than go without them himself.
Ability
Gyro’s cutiemark of a gyroscope indicate his mechanical aptitude and his magical abilities help him achieve it. His horn is capable of heating up metal, and with the help of a chamber he’s built, its quite easy for him to melt ingots and create casts out of pure magic. His other primary spell allows him to twist and form metal in intricate ways, such as creating the regular teeth on a cog in a manner similar to magical forging. These two together allow him to create intricate pieces of machinery such as clockwork devices.
