A zergling's first and foremost instinct is to feed and towards carnage. He is often a messy eater, tearing apart his prey with his jaws and his sickles, though he may on occasion swallow things down whole as well.
Since leaving the hive he has found himself as part of a mercenary company and that gives him plenty of opportunity to fulfil that part of him that wants to have sentient prey, whom he will enjoy mercilessly.
If someone wanted to get this bug down, they'd have to figure a way to deal with all his spikiness and his bad attitude. Though should they find a way, they'd have themselves a very exotic treat.
